I have a feeling that they're going to stop making a big show of these vaccine administrations.

Not good.
Drug testing spergery incoming.

When you test drugs, or vaccines, you test several things but basically you’re looking at two main metrics:
1. Does it work?
2. Is it safe?

you can break those down further. ‘Does it work?’ Can mean a lot of different things. Some tests look at equivalent workingness but with a cheaper drug, and easier drug etc. So for example, there are anti clotting agents that are only as effective as warfarin but don’t need to be titrated all the time, or don’t interact with foodstuffs. You could even have a drug pass that doesn’t work as well as warfarin but was safer in terms of side effects.
Or you could have say a therapy that is very low efficacy but there is literally nothing else out there so it may as well be used (Milwaukee protocol for rabies for example.)
Then you’ve got ‘is it safe?’ And again that’s relative. A chemotherapy drug does damage, but versus a currently untreatable cancer that might be acceptable. If your drug is to treat headaches, obviously your bar for ‘safe’ is way higher.

so our mRNA vaccine. Does it work? I think yes it does. The data seems to show it significantly lowers the chances of death/serious illness from covid. The dataset is sufficient to show that because it’s a simpler question.
But is it safe? That’s a much much harder question to say yes to. Normally trials last many years partly to answer this question. Long term follow up is needed. Adverse events are collected and scrutinised. Samples are taken for exploratory work sometimes. Data on subsequent pregnancies. Data on where the stuff goes and what it does in the body and how it’s eliminated
What worries me is that almost none of this has been done. The feline Coronavirus vaccines and the sars vaccine (ferret model) both caused antibody dependent enhancement in animal tests. That has not been explored here becasue as far as I can see, they haven’t looked. Their patient pool was immune naive people.
Nobody has looked in detail at what happens as an immune response - there simply hasn’t been the time to do these analyses. There are some worrying patterns across trials as well. The Bell’s palsy, the transverse myelitis and the guillain barre syndrome events seen across vaccine types suggest to me that there are autoimmune nerve targeting events that need to be ruled out with corona vaccines as a broad class.

So is it effective? Yes. Is it safe? I don’t think we can say that by a long way. I hope it is, but watching closely.
Thank you for the info, as always, Otter. I really appreciate your input on these issues as someone who is both super concerned about this vaccine and not medically trained. I haven't heard about anyone near me mandating the shot yet, even for health care workers, so my fingers are crossed that that will keep up.

The fact that this nurse couldn't be taken off meds overnight without going back into anaphylaxis sounds really alarming to me, but I don't know how unusual that is for an allergic reaction.
Get sickness with the down:

Makes sense. People with downs tend to have all sorts of terrible health problems.

Shit, the staff were all way too close there in that video. They're all probably going to die now from not social distancing :(

I recently found work at a medical clinic and I am pleased to report all of the nurses and clerical staff are suspicious of the vaccines, and don't plan to get it at all or if they do only when the test pool has been a million. They also don't want to give it to their kids.
Most of the grocery stores I've gone to make those announcements in between the generic music that plays.
I honestly can't say the COVID announcements I've heard over the intercom at stores have been that constant or drilling. I've actually only heard them in a few stores. The one I heard today basically said, "Please just respect our workers" which I think is actually fine, because it sucks when re.tards take everything out on wagies.

Vaccines for blacks, the elderly, and downies. Who's next, gypsies? These people are like Nazis, except they're polite about killing "undesirables".

It's honestly scary that lots of people won't listen to reasonable restrictions in the event of an actual dangerous disease because the politicians and experts cried wolf over Chinaflu. Critical early moments in controlling the disease will be lost because people will have plenty of reason to believe "it's just the COVID-19 bro" because the experts ended up so untrustworthy that a pandemic we might stop early might end up a pandemic that spreads uncontrollably. Nothing good will come out science discrediting itself like this, but at this rate I think we'll only have endless more moments of science discrediting itself since more and more it's supplanting religion and becoming a dogma.
This is the thing with COVID and I've always thought this, even back in March.

If this really was a Boogaloobonic Plague, one that kills irrespective of age group and health condition, and kills quickly, then the infringement of personal liberties/rights and so on wouldn't be a question. Why? Because nobody would want to go out or do anything. Nobody would want to keep open, aside from businesses that basically have to (grocery stores). Lockdowns, masks, etc. wouldn't be so resented. There would obviously still be Dale Gribbles running around that would blame the 5G waves but they'd be boogaloo'd and wouldn't last long. Small business owners would rather lose their business than half their family and children.

But COVID isn't.

Since when do these authoritarians care about people with Downs? They encourage women to abort them all of the fucking time. Iceland recently celebrated making them almost extinct in their country.

I have known people with Downs throughout my life. A gigantic "fuck you" is in order to the leftists who use them for some sort of self-righteous posturing.

Fuuuuuuuuuck you!

See this is what happens when "ethicist" faggots throw arbitrary goals & reasoning into their analytics.
It should literally just be lives saved vs lives ruined; alternatively if you have to pick one go by years lost vs years protected. Again, I'm the fucking sociopathic asshole for implying that infants are objectively worth more to a healthy population than boomers, but hey good to know Kangs N Kwayns is the most important!

Dipshits...

The Data shows jack shit. Its only tested on people with no risk of a serious illness from covid. we dont test stuff like that on the elderly and death fats.

the data is not realy clear if the vaccine prevents an infection or just getting sick. if its the later, we are realy fucked because it will not work and the government will not open up society again till the death rates goes down.

Its unethical to force it on the population. the risk from the vaccine look worse than those of covid. healthworkers with strong reactions, health worker blacking out for a couple of minutes...
Thats alot of problems for a vaccine against the sniffles.

Dad is due for vaccine, this weekend. One of the first in their neck of the woods and is going for it. I think he is just worn down from it all , and life in general, so no resistance offered.
well going sterile is not realy a problem for the elderly.

the data is not realy clear if the vaccine prevents an infection or just getting sick.
So what happens if, say, 1/3rd of the population is vaccinated, and it works, but it doesn’t prevent them from getting infected, just keeps them from getting very sick? Won’t they just be out super-spreading it to the rest of us then?

Like, at least if you’re knocked on your ass by a virus, you’re not out spreading it to other people. You’re probably staying home sick in bed. Much of the worry and precaution with COVID has been centered around asymptomatic superspreaders. Wouldn’t that just turn everyone who gets the vaccine into one if they still catch the virus but don’t get sick?

Am I bad for thinking its funny 90% of people in this thread are gonna have to receive bill gates microchip, now seeing the 'mock' vaccine where the doctor faked putting in the injection or the lady nurse passing out. Good luck hopefully your workplaces and schools do not require a vaccine card and you do not need to travel to another country that requires one. Shoulda became a NEET.

I keep seeing headlines hinting at a second stimulus check. This seems cruel at best and like those in control of the news are trying to make sure there will be plenty of angry people if it doesn't pass. Just in time for Christmas, dangle the promise of money in front of those who have been unemployed for almost a year. What could happen?

Don't count your government money until it's in your bank account.

Yes, but its not realy a big deal if you are under 70...

What a convenient way to both pressure people to take the vaccine and keep up restrictions even after a critical mass of vaccinations has been reached.
