But the age of consent in the US federally is 18. That's the operative law in use when a person goes overseas--we've all heard of people going to Thailand and what-not to fuck little boys and girls, then coming home and being hit by charges of sex trafficking and what-not. Don't think it's a legality issue per se. There are states where 16 is ok. I think it's more of a mental thing - Sure, they are young, but it's ok because they are legally an adult. A way to justify what you are doing. Otherwise there would be girls that are 20, 22, stuff like that. Both Nora and Faith were barely 18.

Once it's federal (and if it's on the Internet it is federal) or international it's 18 period. Traveling to have sex with a minor even in a country where it would be legal there is a felony under sex tourism laws.

All I remember of Nora from gaymergay time is Her, Ralph, some cripple chick in a wheelchair and Margeret with a poo bag constantly doing gay OPs to try be leaders of gamergay and at one point they all kept just sending pictures of people who died from being hit by trains to a dude whos GF just killed herself that way.

I think it's understated how much of a good influence Nora was on him when they were closer. When she was on the ralph retort show with him she wouldn't really let him get away with as much bullshit.

Of course you can only be so much of an influence on someone when they live an ocean away. What could have been though is interesting to consider.

It's also kinda hard to keep sight (or maybe it's just that it's something no one wants to keep sight of) of the fact that the bulk of ralph's sexual depravity and indeed the bulk of his sexual activity in general has been recently and this is probably partly why he's acting so reckless at the ripe old age of 35 he's finally found his "hook" with a certain type of women and that's been a bigger boost to his ego than millions of lemons.

What was the ultimate plan for Ralph and Nora? Navigating the immigration system is hard as hell, be it in the US or UK. You have to hit certain income caps to prove you won't be a drain on the system, in a lot of cases the spouse can't work in the country until all visas/greencards get cleared. This means that your spouse needs to have a high enough income to prove that they can take care of you. In both countries the immigration system is a draining affair where things take forever to get processed, it requires time and finances.

Nora was a med student. Ralph has never held down a job, finished any post high school education and lived from his streams. He's not really skilled migrant material in the UK. So what exactly was the plan?

Whatever it was, it went to shit the moment the assaulted that cop in a drunken rage. Being a felon fucked immigration for both him and Nora. He wasn't thinking of his wife and their future then. The fact that Nora still tried after his actions doomed the marriage makes it clear that she genuinely did love him.

Ralph might have cheated on Nora and finally put a bullet to his marriage, but one could argue that it was always doomed due to his personality.

Faith and Pantsu come across as mentally stunted women. Nora got out of the relationship because she seems like she grew. However, Ralph might still manage to screw her future up. He hasn't finalized the divorce, which means Nora can't move on and get married if she happens to find a guy. International divorces can be a real bitch. I know a Brazilian girl who stayed in divorce limbo for NINE years, because her Swiss ex couldn't be assed to deal with it.

Hopefully Ralph won't do that to the only good woman he had.
