Nool said something about a discord group in the top post, and I've also read shitty autism pieces by the noted few on apparently "people from the thread collaborating in a discord group" and "why is that when someone question the leak's validity they are met with whatever whatever", sort of self-validation wank that's honestly fucking irritating; as if they are allowed to spew their autistic bullshit that was addressed weeks back, but whoever counters their bullshit suddenly belongs to some kind of shadowy collective. This is sort of like a persecution complex. I still don't really understand the point or the group they were trying so desperately to allude to.

On some level I assume it has to do with the concept that if you're both using this site but also have an echo chamber (in PMs or off-site) in which to push people to go from just laughing at a cow to actively hating them, that's not a good thing.

I think in a notorious section of the forum, such as this one, a desire to sweep it up should be a disqualification met with suspicion.

It is for this reason that users like @BOLDYSPICY! are a perfect fit.

I recognize them from when I first joined, they never struck me as retarded, they joined in 2016, and they don't seem to be personally involved in any fanboyism or gay operations that would compromise their judgement. Honestly don't know them that well and haven't interacted with them, but those 4 things automatically put them above most of these nominations.

Do you really need to be pushed to develop a deep dislike of the Gunt? Everything exposed about him this year is disgusting and contemptuous. You can laugh at someone without having any empathy on the subject. In fact if he took criticism here well, maybe we wouldn't be harvesting right now.

I thought it was obvious I meant pushed to the point of full-on a-log hatred. As in, developing a personal hatred with someone you've never met kind of deal. The kind of shit that leads to people fucking with them irl or doing gayops to "ruin" them as opposed to just spectating.

Discord, PMs, echo chambers in general are reinforcing structures that serve people who (in this context, anyway) would otherwise be mocked for getting so worked up over what is essentially a freak at the freakshow in a carnival. Or at least, that's my theory as to why people who do that shit are DQ'd from the outset. Whether or not he attracts that kind of person, or elicits that emotional reaction in some, doesn't really alter the fact that at the end of the day we're here to point and laugh, or gawp at the strangeness/stupidity of the people who have threads on this site, Ralph included.

It is fair to say that Discord groups on a lolcow is something gay and only gayness can come of it. There was a group effort by some people to derail threads on material that wasn't pertinent to them. Not all PM group participants are made equal but if we must remove all of them, the slate for desirable candidates goes clean just through the process of using guilt by association.
