In Canada, where Labill is from, disabled people DO get benefits cut/"clawed back" so they don't get as much or even any (depending on the Province I think but I'm pretty sure it's quite widespread) if they have a spouse. In British Columbia it doesn't matter if you're married or not because Common Law relationships being equivalent to marriage is a thing here (not sure about how Quebec treats it in regards to disabled whether common law counts or just outright legal marriage), you WILL get your bennies cut back if you have a partner.Fake news.
