Deaf and blind Helen Keller belittled as 'just another privileged white person' in Time magazine - "Wait, I'm white?"

Deaf and blind Helen Keller belittled as 'just another privileged white person' in Time magazine

Ted Cruz blasts article: 'This is INSANE'

Helen Keller was severely impaired by an undiagnosed illness that caused her to go blind and deaf at the age of 19 months old. Despite her debilitating disabilities and a lack of resources available at the time, Keller would go on to become a champion of the deaf and blind by fundraising millions of dollars for those who are disabled. She became a successful writer, publishing 12 books, and would go around the country raising awareness of the plight of the disabled and fight for women's suffrage.

Keller, who graduated from Radcliffe College, which is now Harvard University, co-founded the American Civil Liberties Union and was awarded the Presidential Medal of Freedom, the highest civilian honor that an American can achieve. Despite all of her achievements and accolades against all odds, Keller was declared to be "just another privileged white person" in a Time magazine article.

The article, titled "Co-Founding the ACLU, Fighting for Labor Rights and Other Helen Keller Accomplishments Students Don't Learn in School," highlighted Keller's many accomplishments, but also included a belittling denigration of Keller.

"However, to some Black disability rights activists, like Anita Cameron, Helen Keller is not radical at all, 'just another, despite disabilities, privileged white person," and yet another example of history telling the story of privileged white Americans."

The quote was said by Anita Cameron, a self-described "fierce Black autistic lesbian" and member of the American Disabled for Attendant Programs Today organization, according to her Twitter profile, which has a "Black Disabled Lives Matter" banner.

Many commenters found the defaming of Keller to be outlandish.

Mary Vought, the executive director of the Senate Conservatives Fund, said, "You've got to be kidding me. The woke mob is now going after Helen Keller for being white. Nevermind the advancements she worked to achieve for those with disabilities."

Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas) retweeted Vought and added, "This is INSANE. Woke Lefties are now attacking Helen Keller?? As 'just another, despite disabilities, privileged white person'?? There are many adjectives one can use to describe the extraordinary Helen Keller. 'Privileged' is not one of them."

Donald Trump Jr. reacted by saying, "Holy sh**... they're now canceling Helen Keller for being white. You can't make this crap up anymore. You can never be woke enough."

Writer John Nolte astutely made this point.

Helen Keller didn’t even know she was white.

You can't be racist against white people. Don't you know science?

In all seriousness, it's been noted a million times that this is a religion we're dealing with here: a sort of atheist offshoot of Catholicism. Privilege is original sin; the sins of the father are passed on to the son; the scholars and scribes set up shop in academia, the orators in the media; they're working on establishing the clergy in the government. You must atone for your sin through the flagellation of those who deny they've sinned and don't forget your tithe to the noble queer/bipoc enterprises.
Literal californication.

This is the same mentality from people who write for racist afrocentric publications like The Root. Absolute shithead black people who will sit in their parents' spare Sherman Oaks mansion with their trust fund and say without a hint of irony that the homeless schizo white dude begging for money on the corner has privilege over them and owes them something.

I was thinking it was going to be something a bit more insightful: Helen Keller's family must have had some means in order to be able to afford her education, most black families at the time wouldn't have been able to offer their children the same education, blah blah blah. But no. "just another privileged white person" is inexcusable.

It's not original sin exactly, since original sin is something that every person (according to Catholicism) has by virtue of being human instead of only applying to one group.

Hellen Keller is being cancelled because her parents were Alabama slaveholders.

The fact that they ceased being rich after the Civil War means nothing. The fact that her education was paid for by a benefactor, Henry Huttleston Rogers by way of Mark Twain, means nothing. The fact that she was a Socialist Party of America and Industrial Workers of the World member means nothing. The fact that she was a pacifist, radical socialist, suffragist, unionist, and birth control rights activist means nothing. The fact that she sent money to the NAACP a mere seven years after it was founded because she was ashamed of the way Southerners treated Black people means nothing.

She was white and her parents owned slaves. That's all SJWs care about.

Man, I knew she had disabilities but now it turns out she was a complete fucking retard, too? What a sad day.

According to the jokes I heard at school, she learned to masturbate by reading her other set of lips. Which doesn't make sense now I think about it because she was blind as well as deaf.
She signed by touch, not sight, it makes perfect sense.

It's awful rude of me, but I wouldn't be surprised if this bitch is at least partially munching like Amanda Baggs. Because usually if you're a wheelchair bound sped, you're not going to be saying much of anything.

Intersectional theory applies to many groups:
Niggers don't have the privilege of whiteness, but half of them have the privilege of maleness.
Black women may not have either of those, but the VAST majority are both CIS and straight. If she is lesbian, god forbid she doesn't want to suck a tranny's dick.
A black transgender lesbian is still probably gonna have English speaking privilege (yes, that's a thing).
There's no one who doesn't have some form of privilege, but who's the worst depends on where they stand on the progressive stack. Hence why purity spirals happen.

Like slavery, except you will never be acknowledged as a victim because you did it willingly out of a sense of guilt?
That's pretty much how old-school Catholicism works: you are saved only through lifelong submission to the lord. In this case, you are to submit to eternal wokeism.

Atonement is a lifelong process, you see. The wages of privilege is death. Atonement is not something you will ever "have done," but something you must always do.
Scarily, this is what narcissistic parents say.

Giving birth to someone is a unpayable lifetime debt.

Hence why purity spirals happen.

Purity spirals also happen because someone 95% on your side is more likely to apologize than an actual enemy.

Woke feminists can get no satisfaction from actual neo-Nazis telling them to go fuck themselves. Meanwhile, white transgender women will literally apologize to black transgender women for their privilege.
