1.5K backers for a $25 comic. Price and demand have relationships for those that understand economics. If he priced at $3.99 I would bet he'd be in the 10K range. Instead he's making better money than the industry does, which is good for him continuing and being sustainable. She used to get into the low thousands. It's pathetic, right?
Richard's last campaign has 1.5 thousand backers...
If your measurement is readership, CG's not noticeable.
I got into trouble last year because Thinking Critical was mocking Erik Larsen saying Savage Dragon 300 or whatnot was a "ripoff" for $9.99 (ironically he supports a lot of these crowdfund guys). I was like it's a 100 page book for $9.99, that's a pretty damn good deal for readers who like SD, conversely probably doesn't make much money. He flipped out and hated me ever since. Sad he reacted like that for making a really dumb "own" of Erik Larsen, who says enough other silly stuff one can gotcha him over that you don't need to invent things.
The moral of the story is without looking at the economic aspect of it, you have no idea what you're talking about in "sales" and I'm sorry if that hurts yours or TC's fee fees. Richard is crushing it.
