No cops showed up in response to gunfire? A warning was being blared over a loudspeaker for ~35 minutes with no cops, no fire department showing up and ordering these people and everyone else on that block to evacuate? They also sat around for 20 minutes before deciding to leave? I dunno, I hear a loudspeaker "THIS SHIT'S GONNA BLOW" after I already heard gunfire I think I'd leave immediately

Looking on google maps it is literally less than a 5 minute walk from the police station. Even if it was close to a shift change there’s no way that doesn’t get noticed. From the video posted earlier it’s only a short warning;however, that person is probably just traumatized. Sometimes a short event can feel longer and if your body is in panic mode you’re not going to make the most accurate memories.

To be fair to the police, it is Christmas day. I imagine that a lot of officers have taken the day off to spend time with their families. Does Nashville even have a dedicated bomb squad? If not, than they wouldn't have been able to do much anyways.

Regardless, the first responders are doing their jobs beautifully.

They should be with their families, but instead they're dealing with this. THAT'S dedication.

Hope they get paid overtime and recognition.

Politely announced they were going to bomb a location so civilians would run away first?

I this this might be actual-honest-to-god political terrorism then, of the Domestic/European kind, since Islamic attacks usually go for mass casualties if possible. This reminds me of what the IRA did.
