There’s not many people that I would be happy hearing that they died, but Michael Alig is definitely one of the few. I hope he rots in hell like the trash he is.

As a side note, it will be interesting to see if Wendy posts something in remembrance of him, if I recall correctly she did get a bit of backlash when him and Desmond made that video together, bringing attention to it will create a bit of a shit storm.

I could tell Alig was high in some of those Peeeew episodes. I knew things were going to go downhill after his long time friend Ernie "Glam" stopped doing weekly episodes with him. He managed to put out a wopping 1 video in the months after.

This goes to show how powerful drug addiction is. People can go to prison for years and then start using drugs again as soon as they get out. There was some jazz musician who said something along the lines of "They can take the drug out of your body but they can never erase it from your brain."

(Caveat: Alig did admit to using heroin IN prison, so he wasn't completely drug free those entire 17 years.)

Yep you can get smack in prison. You can get damn near anything you want in prison up to and including firearms if you have the money to pay for it. Someone will always take the risk for enough cash.

He had a dirty piss test after two years in seg. As @The Un-Clit said, you can get drugs easier in prison than on the outside. Costs a fuck of a lot more though.

Still not a peep about about Alig's not-so-untimely demise. I was expecting rambling eulogies, poorly rehearsed videos, photo collages, ut not a complete blackout! What happened to all the flaunting of their alleged friendship? Piggylou spent her entire youth pining after Michael Alig and was finally able to get close to him through Desmond. She wasn't just not hiding it, she was openly proud of it. What happened?
