To use clickbait youtube video titles:The kiddy castraters wanted to appeal to the Court of Appeal against the ban on castrating kids, but they got told to FOAD, and to pay the litigants' costs.
Even better, the appellate courts in the English and Welsh system (the court of appeals and the supreme court) can be usurped by the European Court of Human Rights. However, with us leaving the EU properly in 13 days, there is no time at all for any kind of case to be bought or them (that said, I believe now we're in the transition period and going to leave, there's no right for them to present an appeal anyway, though if I'm wrong anyone better informed than is welcome to correct me).Lol that is some dumb shit.
The court said 'no, fuck you, all your grounds for appeal are bullshit', and Mermaids are getting butthurt that when the NHS was told that they were doing some illegal shit that the NHS refused to take any more junior castration candidates, and ordered reviews of all existing cases by 22 December.
Mermaids wants them to carry on as if nothing has happened, when in fact the child castraters lost.
At the moment Mermaids have nothing, but they are acting as if the NHS should carry on castrating kids like normal, even though there might not even be an appeal to the Court of Appeal, and Mermaids aren't even a party to the case.

Precedent and case law is one of the founding principles of our legal system, they have literally fuck all else to go on this. It's beautiful to watch and a real upside to leaving the EU.
It assumes they can even bring a case. There's a lot of existing precedent against that possibility. The UK is not leaving the European Convention on Human Rights, nor indeed the European Court of Human Rights, both of which long predate the EU.
There is no Brexit impact here; supremacy would suggest that UK judges bear in mind the ECHR when making their decisions, and then there is no appeal beyond that. Unfortunately it is still possible to bring cases to the European Court of Human Rights.
Clearly the US has a constitution which they sperg about massively when deciding whether or not it's a right to have AK47s at home, or whatever, and the UK has this European Convention. Logic of 'taking back control' would be to get rid of the ECHR as well. Probably you wouldn't bring in a UK-only version, because constitution sperging seems pretty useless, but that''s open to debate.

"Didn't talk to a single transgender young person"
Well, you see, according to the trans movement, Keira Bell wasn't really trans, because if you're really trans you will never desist, ever, and you will never regret anything you've done to your body, ever. Conveniently, this means that according to trans activists, no detransitioner should ever be allowed to talk about their experiences or what was done to them, because they would be "talking over real trans people," which is exactly what they want: For the only trans people anyone hears from to be in full-throated support of the movement and everything it does."Didn't talk to a single transgender young person"
Well, they talked to Keira Bell, didn't they? Does your experience with the treatment only matter if you don't come out of it ready to sue?
'The kids are fine, but we've generated such fear and paranoia in the parents about the safety of their children that they're willing to listen to, promote, and even donate to us. Mission Accomplished.'

Really makes me wonder how many of those kids who will be off puberty blockers soon (and their parents don't follow gender pediatricians out to spain and other countries they hide in) will realize "wow my body feels less like shit" off puberty blockers and cross hormones. Hopefully some that don't want to face the truth that they feel better will be taken to psychologist and diagnosed with depression or anxiety or general teen troubles and once treated for that (optimistically with talking and coping and less meds for their age) they can realize it from there.
The effects are permanent. Even if they go off them now, if they've taken them for any length of time it will cause severe harm. There's nothing anyone can do now that will undo the horror Tavistock brought into their lives. The only solution is to make sure it never happens to anyone else.Really makes me wonder how many of those kids who will be off puberty blockers soon (and their parents don't follow gender pediatricians out to spain and other countries they hide in) will realize "wow my body feels less like shit" off puberty blockers and cross hormones. Obviously not all will. We're bound to have at least one or suicide from this.![]()
Of course, I meant more the immediate afflictions. I remember one person who said they went off puberty blockers had a good portion of immediate symptoms like current aches, pains, & nausea disappear (I could be remembering wrong). Their skeletal system will be hosed and so will other parts of them, but for the moment they felt a bit better. The effects are permanent. Actually, kids with gender dysphoria that don't get put on to puberty blockers have a 20% chance of issues with gender dysphoria staying, while kids who do take puberty blockers have a 95% chance of it staying. So that's unlikely. The point of puberty blockers is to keep the kids needing more and more so pharma companies can rake in the sweet sweet GRS and HRT cash.Really makes me wonder how many of those kids who will be off puberty blockers soon (and their parents don't follow gender pediatricians out to spain and other countries they hide in) will realize "wow my body feels less like shit" off puberty blockers and cross hormones.
It's almost as if they're experimental drugs made to stop testicle cancer rather than stop puberty :^)Of course, I meant more the immediate afflictions. Legally, they can't and haven't been since 1908. See Nash v. Inman. As far as I'm concerned, Mermaids are now deeply worried because the reason they have for grifting has just been declared illegal.
Also, for those not familliar with UK law, Gillick competence basically says that a child can consent to medical treatment if he understands the consequences of that treatment. Tell me with a straight face that a 10 year old (because 10 year olds have been prescribed puberty blockers at Tavistock) can fully understand the consequences of becoming sterile.
