So..when will you start paying attention, then? When you're done and have a full time job? When you're busy starting a family? When will the excuses stop?1. I have a job with shitty hours and I’m a full time student. I’m more concerned with my living situation right now, it’s priorities.
You think things will just..wait until it's convenient for you?
I get not wanting family to have to suffer from stupid policy choices, and I can even sympathize with it. However, you bring up how life was actually going great until <x>, and yet you want to ignore shit until some undetermined time in the future when you "have time" for it. Think on that for a minute.2. <words>
So let me get this straight: You think Biden actually won, but you want our system to be more airtight. Okay, do you think he won legitimately? Caring about a contested election wrought with fraud seems like a great reason to care about who won in the end. You can think two things at once, but how in the world are you reconciling that?3. Yes, I do care. But I don’t really care much who won...I do think Biden won, but I also think our system needs to be more airtight. You can think two things at once, it’s not that hard.
Excuses and larping. We all have our own situations to deal with in life.4. <more words>
I agree that it's important to continue bettering yourself. And if you want to focus all your attention inwards, then by all means you do you. Just..don't be surprised when you finally stop making excuses for yourself and actually start paying attention that things are so far gone it's too late to do anything but live in a pod and eat the bugs.5. The biggest thing you can change is your immediate surroundings, and your ability to change anything else decreases exponentially. With the big brained comment we both wrote, we haven’t changed anything about the current state of affairs. That’s why I’m doing my work, doing my school, and trying to keep what’s immediately in front of me going like it should. Maybe that’s a skewed philosophy, but that’s what I’ve got.
