i don't think Apollo is a bad person and i too hope he didn't actually commit suicide, but DarkVyper, EZ and even Billy should not be blamed for pushing that man into suicide, in each situation he was involved in with these people he was the only one who caused his own failures and he should have just owned up to it instead of blaming them in his suicide note

I really dont understand how dark and ez could be catching any sort of flak from this. Really it just seems like apollo is(was?) just a fuck up of an eceleb. While he shouldnt have gone to do a flip. To go an throw their names in his suicide letter is also petty and scumbag shit. No sympathy.

I like watching speedrunning videos of games I like, especially when there’s no commentary (good luck because these people can’t shut the fuck up, normally), while doing something else such as working. Why can’t these raging faggots just shut up and run the same game over and over tens of thousands of times like they had before and not mire themselves in pointless drama?

Apollo Legend is an annoying whistleblower for a niche community. Billy Mitchell, at the very least, played the role of an amusing heel. Apollo tried to go all Keemstar on that Australian GTA V speed runner who shut him the fuck down, and hard.

The speedrunning community is full of troons and manchildren. The worst thing to ever happen to speedrunners is that they were allowed to make profit for doing their hobby, which rapidly expanded their reach to other morons susceptible to spergery.

I have to disagree regarding Billy.

It was my understanding from talking to Apollo that the settlement out of court with Billy was tantamount to a complete loss. Billy is incredibly litigious, as has been pointed out, so he's very experienced in court and has excellent lawyers. Apollo, on the other hand, showed his inexperience hard by trying to troll Billy about the situation IRL, making public videos about the proceedings, and hiring a dud of a lawyer (as far as I know).

Certainly, those blunders were Apollo's own fault, but the fact is that Billy's million-dollar defamation lawsuit against him largely succeeding is a failure of justice.
