Most places merely recommend it, and even then it seems they only put on the facade of doing so for corporate & local gov health regulations.

I actually specifically gave a waitress my # because she was letting her mask down and conversing with me like a real fucking person and not a terrified wide-eyed drone like some of her coworkers. (I mean she was cute otherwise, but I usually don't try to make moves on working women, but something about that just pushed me to go for it)

Same. Not eating in restaurants is one of the things I miss most these days but I'm not jumping through a bunch of stupid hoops just to eat a meal. It really sucks too because there's some food you need to eat right there like sushi since to-go sushi gets stale quick. But I'm not playing their game and I don't care to find out which restaurants would shout at me to wear a mask and which ones don't give a fuck so I just get to-go orders because there's no point picking fights like that.

I feel bad for the waiters and waitresses at those places. Their income must be terrible these days and the future always uncertain. That's the real human cost of the pandemic, the people whose livelihoods and mental health are fucked over long-term in the name of saving old people.

Any working person wanna verify they’ve been reusing the same like two masks throughout this whole thing? Not washing them or anything just straight up wearing the same mask for two-three months at a time. Because we all know this is performance art at this point and nobody’s gonna know.

I talk to my coworkers mask down and they really don’t care. They do the same when customers aren’t in the store. (Not to PL too much but my youngest coworkers will be fully unmasked when no one is in the store, makes me think the younger population super doesn’t give a fuck)

My boss is a high risk category for contracting COVID and he wears his mask occasionally but he will usually talk to us mask down. It could be just how it is in my store but I’m curious if it’s like this in every store. I saw one of my coworkers face for the first time when she was eating lunch in the break area and it’s crazy to think some of these people I’ve talked to at length for days but wouldn’t recognize them on the street.

I wear the same mask covered in makeup all the time for a few reasons, it’s just theatre, I wear it for the minimum amount of time possible, I love how much it triggers all the branch covidian cult members and I don’t give a fuck because I believe in my immune system.
