Since you opened the door for discussions of fruity sodas I just gotta give my love to my all time favorite fruit flavored soda.

Shit is divine. It tastes almost exactly like the lemon lime popsicles my mom used to buy in these big bulk packs of 100 of 5 different flavors during the summer when I was a kid.
Never tried a Jarritos but I know I've seen it around before.. I'll give it a try next time I come across it in a soda fridge,

Fentimans is a nice one, not too sweet and slightly fermented so it has a nice sourness to it. Has various weird herbs and things in it that give the flavour more depth.

As Exceptionally Exceptional said, the Lime is fantastic. The guava is also good shit. While we're on the topic of hispanic sodas, Sangria Señorial is a sangria-flavored soda, which is goddamned amazing. Avoid the plastic bottles though, glass bottles and cans have a better taste to them, moreso than with most.

As a bit of a request to any passing Mexi-Kiwis, anyone familiar with a red apple soda? Came in red cans about fifteen years ago. It might have been Sidral Mundet, but that doesn't seem to taste the same as what I remember.

Then again, everything tastes better during siesta and at the end of a day building houses in the desert summer, so that may explain the difference.

There's Sangria Senorial, Sidral Mundet and Jarritos at the local Walmarts, for pretty cheap. I try to get them when I can / when I remember to.

Spar American Style Cola when it came in a can, now I can only find plastic bottles and I hate plastic bottle drinks.

Their cola is interesting enough.

Regular Coke is better than Regular Pepsi, but Diet Pepsi is better than Diet Coke. Also, as much as I like Coke Zero, I miss Pepsi One.

And of course Mexican/Kosher for Passover Coke is better than Regular Coke.

What're Faygo and Royal Crown like?
I've seen Faygo where I live recently but I have folks in Michigan where I first tasted it and it's too sweet for my taste. But they have some interesting flavors like cotton candy. Never heard of Royal Crown, is it a regional thing?

Is it Manzanita Sol? That comes in a can like this? Personally I like Sidral Mundet the best but this was pretty good too.

My pickle-suited nigger. Did not come into this thread expecting Boylan to be mentioned.

Also, Bundaberg ginger beer (it's a right pain in the ass to find state-side, at least where I am), and Maine Root. Their blueberry soda and their sarsaparilla are to die for.
I have zero issues finding Bundaberg stuff, thankfully, because it's one of my favorite ginger beers. Also Reed's Jamaican Ginger Brew is nice. Virgil's is good rootbeer as is WBC's (WBC's Orange Cream and Cream Soda are also tip-top). Used to be able to find a soda called O-So Butterscotch Rootbeer that was just disgustingly good, but seems to have vanished.

Re: Faygo - as clown piss goes it's actually not horrible for cheap soda, depending on flavor (and they have a ton of flavors). Just avoid their Root Beer, Red Pop and Cola.

One store in the area I live in carries Bundaberg, and it's the store of choice for upper class yuppies, wine aunts, and the college students with an open line of credit from their parents. It's put with the mixers along with Fentiman's and Q rather than the regular sodas, and it vanishes before the weekend every week when it comes in on Thursdays.

I have fond memories of Faygo (mainly the peach and the blue one), more due to memories of a juggalo chick and her absolutely fantastic clown pussy than the actual soda.

Also, since I mentioned Fentiman's, their pink ginger is pretty good as well. Fermented young ginger, bit of citrus, and pear juice. Very nicely aromatic, the kind of drink you should enjoy while out in the garden or something of the like. Hard to describe, but it goes well with being surrounded by plantlife and petrichor.
