Ånyone else feel like the lockdown / doomer reaction / media coverage of the ronies has made them completely question their life trajectory?
For instance, I wouldn’t call myself a Trump supporter, more of a “jeez the media sure hates this guy a lot” type person. Now I realize that the media is so completely and utterly full of shit, I’m now thinking “maybe this Trump guy actually did have his election stolen, what do I know other than the media lies about everything”.
Everywhere I go I see people wearing masks on the sidewalks, where fresh air circulates around and there’d be no chance of transmission. They wear the masks outdoors for no other reason than to demonstrate to others that they believe science or to announce to the world “I’m no covidiot Trumpet”. People alone in cars, or on bicycles, or jogging, wearings masks. People touching the masks then immediately after touching doorknobs. People rubbing their hands on their pants (as if this does anything) to cleanse their hands of the ronies before touching things or shaking hands.
I celebrated with the Biden supporters on the street when Biden won because I saw it as an opportunity to partake in degeneracy and debauchery. The whimsical nature of it all made me realize that they’re all giant hypocrites; I do not see this thing as a threat, but for a person to see it as a threat, and to promulgate doomerism and wear the mask badge proudly, then to go out and party during a pandemic is to me is as hypocritical as it gets. A week before the Biden-win, the same faggots would have been shaming covid deniers for mask compliance were out in the street dancing unmasked, banging pots and pans, drinking to excess in close proximity with others ...
Not to mention the hypocrisy of the BLM protests, which I saw firsthand from the sidewalks of Manhattan where most were unmasked, only for someone to literally tell me soon afterwards how wonderful the BLM protests were and that those “idiot covid deniers” were going to spread the ronies for the coming Memorial Day cookouts.
I hope that there are others like me who only go along with the charade and pretend for the sake of avoiding alienation from the hardline doomers but, living in NYC, I fear that I’m vastly outnumbered. I’ve heard first hand people uttering support for Papa Cuomo. The fuck world are they living in?
