They didn't specifically said it was their 3d debut, only that there will be important announcement every week involving polka, botan and lamy starting january 7th, but thanks to nene's schedule that someone pointed out in this thread, might as well put 3d debut in neon sign.

Seriously, look up some entry-level highlight streams, like the Doog stream on YouTube which starts here. Or Pekora's runs through Metal Gear games, clipped and subbed by Peko Subs. Or some of Pekora and Miko's antics like how their prank war started. Or the Pekodam vs Shubangelion saga. Or how Towa "destroyed" Sora Mountain. Or the times Miko set her Minecraft house on fire. Twice. Or the first time Mel visited the nether. Or how Pekora tried to rescue Roboco when she was trapped in the nether. Or the dozens of translated Asacoco episodes or the translations of Coco's shitpost reviews. Or Noel's training arc for Getting Over It. (I'm not linking everything, start doing searches, dammit.) Your name is "fuckingrabbitholes," so put forth some effort and go down the fucking rabbit hole. Don't expect the rabbit hole to invert itself and just vomit forth content all over you because you wished really hard.

Or you can be like everyone else and just watch the 5 minute clickbait hornypastas and 2 minute trash clips about Rushia being flat or Marine being horny for the ten thousandth time. That shit's everywhere and takes no effort to find.

I avoid Artemis of the Blue, both watching their content and posting about them here, and it's because I saw one clip of them and immediately it threw up my red flags.

The tone of voice saying "gamers" and the dead air for several seconds where it's clear they were waiting for some kind of reaction. It was all very reminiscent of the episode with the deer furry that got invited to be on Twitch's "Trust and Safety" council who ended up saying "I think a lot of you gamers are actually White Supremacists™...just a fact...of how I feel.".

Enough to file them away into my "not with a 10 foot pole" category because I could smell the White Male Progressive Stack College Liberal That Will Probably Get Arrested Some Day for Diddling Kids energy coming off of that few seconds of monologue, and it looks like I was right going by some of the stuff that gets posted here.

Now if you don't mind, I'm going to go back to ignoring the blue mouthed shark and go back to watching the white lion giggling while sitting in a shopping cart with rockets strapped to it.

Their personalities are literally nothing but "lol I'm horny", Zentraya having a breakdown every other week, and Silver being a literal college bitch. I was actually thinking earlier. Maybe I'm alone on this I can't help but feel that the vshojo girls (and guy) have a sort of vibe of the "cool kids" that just happen to like anime but still think they're better than the anime fans and like I said earlier "you guys are loser virgins but I'm cool and have lots of sex" and then I look at the HololiveEN girls and it just feels so much more genuine and humble. Like I feel like I could be friends with most of the ENs in the right time and place but I can't imagine ever hanging out with any of the vshojo girls (and guy).

After reading that blurb of yours here, just reminded me about the semi-argument I got into a few weeks back with a friend of mine who is essentially a Japanese VTuber purist, and thinks any and all non-JP Vtubers are shit and cringe, including HoloEN. He even went so far as to say, and this is a quote, that "Nyanners and Gura are the exact same content." He was completely adamant that HoloEN would flop and be a disappointment, but seeing their wild, insane success, now he just hard-copes by saying that they suck anyway.

He has this bizarre logical blindspot where he thinks that "VTubing" is a Japanese-only thing and it needs to stay that way. He also hates cancel culture stuff (as we all do), so I asked him how that line of thought is different than their cries of "cultural appropriation," and he didn't have a good answer.

But I digress.

Actually, her streams are some of the ones I can watch without the language barrier interfering too much. I know enough Japanese to understand when she makes simple comments about the game but the bulk of my attention is on her gameplay and her reactions. That's why the Trials Rising streams are so great. You don't need to understand everything to know how much fun she's having and her laughter is absolutely infectious.

It's funny, I rarely pay attention to the subtitles when I'm watching a game highlight clip anyway, for Botan or Korone especially. My focus is mostly on the gameplay.

Like I said before, Mel's scripted content is decent, but her actual streaming content is bottom-of-the-barrel bullshit and I feel it's encouraged a lot of other EN Vtubers and "Debut TBA" shitters that hornyposting is what people want...and unfortunately it works. I got into this a bit in one of my Discord servers that I really hate the Debut TBA people simply because it is literally all they do; if you're not streaming, you're not a VTuber. You're just some jackass with a skeb commission as your profile pic and don't intend to do anything meaningful with it. I'm all for more independent content creators so long as they actually create content and don't just try to amass clout without actually doing anything with it.

I try and stay away from Vshojo as well and most indie EN vtubers. If I had to pick, my favorite one would have to be Koopa because she has a pretty nice voice and also because she’s into guns if I’m being completely honest.

I try not to sound like a purist but everyday more and more EN TBAs drive me further and further back to JP. As for Vshojo, iron mouse is probably the only one I can respect and it’s only from a standpoint of her irl situation and how hard she works to keep going. Even though I find her voice completely grading hence why I can’t watch. Melody is so mind numbing that I don’t think I’d be able to make it 10 minutes without dropping down to 62 IQ. Vale and Gigguk’s wife just seem like e-thots with an avatar. Zen seems like a douche with his every other week meltdown and I got nothing to say about froot since there’s not much out and I have other streams to watch.
