It always astounds me how a Youtuber who looks like a mouldy potato can attract any kind of woman, underage or not. E-fame is bullshit.

Has there been a followup from him yet after he posted his "Apology video"?

Was it Lui? The guy that wore the monkey masked and had the running joke of pretending to be a child sometimes? Because he got outed as a pedo shortly before Mini Ladd.

Lui got outed? I always thought it was weird when he suddenly stopped showing up in Vanoss and co's videos. Just saw the videos linked after your post and god damn, always fun seeing drama about Youtubers you used to watch pop up. EDIT: oh shit Ohmwrecker too? Now THAT one was a surprise, he seemed very chill.

Gonna play devil's advocate here: most of these guys lets be honest look like crap, they probably got close to zero attention from girls at school and as adults I bet only from a drunk hambeast if she's desperate enough (like, just look at vaush's gf for fucks sake)

So they go on youtube and suddenly all these cute teen girls that wouldnt give them the time of day back then are orbiting them, not the other way around. Being basically groupies they idolize these losers, say they are their crush in social media. So imagine what that does to these mens' minds.

I picture their mental process to be something like "its now or never" and so the mental barriers that would stop them from going pedo get eroded by moral relativism like "she would be legal in X country" or "people got married at 12 in the 19th century"

Its like commies who after years of living off foodstamps find commercial success and suddenly become limousine socialists buying branded shit for status just like all the yuppies they used to mock

Omnwreker I don’t think has been shown to be a pedo, he just threw all his friends(specifically Brian) under the bus in order to make himself seem better or something like that. Acting very two faced and whatnot.

I think it has a lot to do with the expectations of interacting with their audience. Before the advent of live streaming, most interaction there could possibly be would be in the YouTube comment sections. Yeah you have cases like Onison making their own forums, but that was deliberate. "Creators" could create separate bubbles from their fans. Now it's expected for people to "foster a community." You need to interact with your subreddit, create and manage your own discord, reply on Twitter, and talk/interact with chat during a livestream. Is it a surprise that all the grooming takes place over DMs in Twitter or on Discord? No, they are expected or told by others that this is how you become successful (not grooming, but interacting). I believe the term is creating a "brand" in the influencer sphere.

A lot of these creators start young, are probably not exactly popular in their real life social circles, so now they have "positive" attention from a large amount of people and unless you have some sort of management comes in with HR skills there's going to be a lot of issues. Being dumb and horny is honestly going to lead to more and more of these situations coming out as the months and years tick by because no one is telling all these people to knock it off and keep your dick in your pants. Twitch doesn't care because they get their money and if you're a problem they can boot you off with plausible deniability, same with YouTube.
