That will be when ANTIFA/BLM show up. Probably not until after dark.

Anyway I will let you know if I die. Going out soon. Only a sucker skips the continental breakfast.
You actually went to the march? Lol wow

"Largest protest in US history" :optimistic:
It seems every protest is the "largest protest in US history"

It's not going to be that bad. Lockdowns don't last forever and once your rich grandpa gets his vaccine, you can enjoy four years of nothing/kowtow to China.
"They're going to give up their essentially unlimited power voluntarily even though they've put in place a framework that lets them keep it indefinitely."
The powerful system of sidestepping law and reality they have created lets them do most anything they want, for as long as they want. Do you really think that is going to tossed aside? It is not ending, at least not for many years; and even then they will not be relinquishing power just transferring it to a permanent tangent system. The terms the 'new normal', 'build back better', 'kill kill kill da wypipo' were not astroturfed just for gigglyshits. There is no going back, that has been made abundantly and explicitly clear.

I am lucky in that I live in the BosWash corridor so I have access to a lot of these kinds of events. They are a lot of fun and I try to go to protest events if I am able.

I'm not sporting any flags or pins or shirts; I never do, even if I have opinions on the event. I just like being around events that personify our freedoms of expression and assembly. It helps me feel a connection to the values of the nation, which is something I cherish.

And you meet a lot of good people from all walks of life. It is a lot like this thread except you can't hide behind your monitor, which is its own sort of echo chamber.

I strongly encourage anyone that can attend a protest to do so. Just be courteous and kind and you'll have a good time and make new friends.

Anyway I'll be back later. Hold off on sending your energy to the militias and black bloc until after 2ish EST when I plan to head back in. :semperfidelis:

uh oh, the Mayor is here.

Pretty much, anyone who thinks Biden years will be communism are delusional. Hell Biden will probably be too chickenshit to even do Medicare for All.

We're going to another shitty "assualt rifle" ban, We'll have more government hand outs, we'll have more COVID lockdowns. And immigration floodgates will open up wide. Beyond that America is gonna stay the same.

At the end of the day Corporations make this country. And corporations ultimately want to just make money off sick people & consoomers. In Google & Amazon we trust.
Yeah we are just getting more Neoliberalism, which in my eye is much, much worse than if we got actual socialists in, but that's just me. I could see in the long term more left elements getting into the Federal Bureaucracy that start at Biden's administration, however they likely will trend more towards to Social Liberal Bureaucracy over time (again, I think I would prefer actual far-left types to this result ultimately).

I personally expect a lot of token bills to try and calm people down, with hidden clauses that further protect/empower corporations, and a maybe few bills to further fuck over the South out of spite depending on how strong the radicals are. I don't that is the most unreasonable prediction, as that is more or less what I remember Obama doing.
