If a third party forms out of the gop the most likely outcome is that the dnc will win every election from now on since neither the gop nor this new party is gonna get any votes from dnc voters but will effectively split the right-wing vote in two

It's like any other time a new party emerged, the two parties will exist for an election cycle, one will have a clear lead (prob the trump sided one at this rate) and the other will die immediately to jump to the winner for the next election cycle cuz guess what? The actual opposition won. Then the new party, in this modern bs era, which just draw the same candidates who ran for the old one cuz you need people to represent a position, and I see very little people in the ballpark of trump run for any kind of office nowadays.
