The GOP establishment is obsessed with "dignity" and "respectability". I'm well aware of all of that. I was merely saying that I disagree with the sentiment that average joe blow ("the Republicans") deserve what's to come of it, as if though they're responsible. Hell, your own post gets at why I don't think they should be held responsible. Also, my two cents, but voting third party is better than not voting at all, even if it is overridden by fraud.
If you meant the politicians in the party, well, you expounded upon my point in your post on that as well as to why saying they "deserve it" is a bit odd, seeing as it's exactly what they wanted.

These laughing protesters didn't stage a coup. There were no goals. It was just a bit of banter, or they'd have been taking hostages and such.

I know congress won't see it like that. I know the law won't. But for a good number of the people it was a bit of a joke, judging by the pictures, expressions, emotions displayed. Not grim determination or elation and symbolic gestures you'd expect from a coup.

Maybe it should have been a coup, but it wasn't.

The feds let them have their tantrum in public areas with themselves and bystanders being the only ones in danger, with explicit orders to not attempt to enter anywhere actually secure just like they did with Antifa during their tantrums everywhere else. And what happened the moment some autistic bitch tried to disobey those orders and force her way in to a secure area? She got fucking shot. If the lot of them tried to break in alongside her, it would have been a fucking bloodbath and SWAT would be dragging the survivors out with bags over their heads.
