I don't think he was deliberately stomping on the flag, it seems he was just trying to buck it behind him so he won't trip on it.
All I want from this is that the rich men learn that maybe polarizing politics on the internet autism zone is not okay.
It's hard to kind of digest what happened in 2020 and today. I don't have political radicals around me, and I don't feel as if they are that way either. Most of the time we talk about our hobbies, families and what not. I live in a 1/2 and 1/2 state of liberals and conservatives. I want to know if there's kiwis that are experiencing the same thing as me or if I'm just out-of-touch.
And I don't think that all government officials are nefarious as they're being presented. Maybe some like Nancy, but there's hundreds of others out there that are normal people. And they don't get the spotlight because they aren't controversial (which is a good thing because they won't make decisions out of dopamine fuel). I have less confidence in this statement because I'm just a village idiot, but all I wanna say is that I hope ppl don't get hurt too much
I think most people are in a similar camp as you. The hyper-plugged-in tend to try to get others around them plugged in, and if those others don't, then they usually eschew them. Where I'm at has a lot of radicals around, but I don't get along with them because I don't really care to purposefully drench myself in an indoctrination chamber. I think that there will be a huge chunk of pro-trump people that are turned off by the shit that happened today, but they're not going to be that vocal about it and they'll just quietly change. The massive conspiracy shit has egged on a lot of people to new heights, but it has also turned off a lot of people. Run a new election tomorrow and the results might surprise you.
I stick my head into this shit because it's a good time, but I also have a (covid-impaired) functional normal life to turn to outside of laughing at speds and hurling blocks of text. That's a necessary grounding and distance that a lot of people seem to lack online, but have in spades in reality. Part of the reason I enjoy laughing at self-serious speds so much is to deal with the fact that this isn't a great place to be in, and a bunch of people hyping themselves up in an extreme echo chamber are actively trying risk inflicting extreme suffering and pain on the rest of the population... because they don't want to admit that they might be wrong.
