This is NOT the same as attacking the congress of the US without any weapons, any leaders or even strength in numbers. That attack had one clear goal: Bring about fascism by a coup. Only time would allow people to discover the real story being hidden from them by the respectable news outlets. Trump wisely let leftist politicians hang themselves with their own tolerance and let the states either handle things or not. Sending the troops in probably would not have won him the election.
