It's crazy how inconsistent the results of hormones are. Almost like the doctors perscribing them have no idea what they're doing.
A sad/funny/informative part of r/detrans for me is how little all the various treatments changed their appearances. People will post before and afters with minimal changes, but it's clear that to them it feels like this huge deal, where most of the people who see them wont notice at all. Kinda late to this one but honestly, if Kevin does take acid it likely isn't going to be the mind-bending life-altering experience people think it will be. He isn't going to suddenly realise the mistakes he's made and it isn't going to break his mind either. Other people have already answered this, but TLDR is: it's all just based on your genetics + how long you were on them.
Kevin has removed his testicles, which provided most of the sex hormones in his body. Without estrogen injections, he would start experiencing symptoms similar to men who lose their testicles to cancer and menopause-mainly hot flashes, fatigue, and weight gain. So I hope Penny and Bonbon stock up on some hecking towels to catch this trans cutie's sweat in before it soaks the mattress!
My biggest concern is if this is ends up being long term. Despite what some troons may think, sex hormones do more in your body than make you look one way or the other- estrogen is integral for bone development. This is why you don't see self proclaimed nonbinaries going cold turkey on all hormones to become ~UwU genderless~: their fucking bones would get old people brittle within a couple years.
If Kevin, or any other detransitioner for that matter, went off hormones for an extended period of time without getting on some sort of replacement, they could see their lifespan drastically cut short. But unfortunately, Kevin will likely grift enough money to buy his toys and his estrogen.
