Long-arm statutes generally allow a state to enforce its laws when their effects take place within its borders. What's probably more important is this: "under circumstances in which the persons agree or understand that the image shall remain private[.]" Nobody here agreed to shit with this clown. He was the one who sent this stuff out. The gay catfish might, conceivably, have owed him a duty of privacy but that doesn't magically extend to the entire rest of the world.

What is the difference between this (cat fishing someone’s noodz) and revenge porn? Does is amount to something similar? Is it bc he took and distributed these freely? Bc if you send some shit like this to a stranger then you kind of have to expect this to get out, he’s not like those celebs who got hacked (tho still retards for being in the public eye and doing this). Just kind of curious where the line is, and even if it’s discernible this early. Those laws were just passed a few years ago.

Whoever catfished him might have broken the law. I don't know how California does it. The statute just says the person expected privacy, not that it was reasonable to do so. I guess the question is whether you can expect privacy when you're randomly sending out dildo to the ass pics to people when you don't even know who the fuck they are.
