Trump essentially pulled the worst move tactically from this entire ordeal. The way he responded afterwards to his sped larpers army is genuinely fucking hilarious. It's a very American phenomenon to like to film yourself commiting crimes, it is fucking nonsense.

I do genuinely believe that this was sheer and utter incompetence security wise. Wasn't some sophisticated, "the cops get let them in." From what I've seen of the footage, these fuckers swarmed in like pissed off hornets. All they managed to accomplish is demonstrate how much of lambs they are to the slaughter. I don't think our politicians should have been taken hostage. Nobody should have died. However, if they were going to storm the Capitol, they had to have the intention and the wherewithal to do something drastic. They needed to not be cowed by armed police. They needed to be more than willing to be looked at as crazy psychopaths because they were that convinced that they were in the right-- or at least be driven to the brink and looking for SOMETHING in relief while everything else is shut on them. Quite literally, they needed to be willing to be gunned down by the NGs. And they were none of those things. Nothing about the storming of the Capitol was planned, which is why they were able to be herded out with barely any controversy. They weren't so overwhelmed with self-righteousness or desperation that they were willing to actually murder anyone, much less take them hostage. This was practically a game for them-- and that's not at all to make excuses for them. They were fools for thinking that way. Nobody was a fool for thinking that these people would do absolutely nothing, because they weren't really prepared to do something even if they stormed the Capitol. The event itself didn't need to be organized-- their minds had to be made up on how far they were willing to go, and they just weren't.

There is no revolutionary spirit inasmuch as it is not tolerated by the law, which means there is no revolutionary spirit in this country. And that's because unlike the times of old or in the present times of other countries, where they're so destitute as to not even have bread and circuses to insulate them from the hell their government is causing to befall them, this country is on average obese due to the abundance of said bread and circuses. There's definitely a 2022 democrat supermajority coming. Not because people hate Trump but because they hate the GOP.
