Easy. Boomers voted them in, who else? They are some of the stupidest shits I've met in my life. They think they have all the answers but can't take a minute to read instructions or lose their mind if they have to wait for anything. America's shittest generation.
Replace boomers with any other demographic. It's true for the majority across all age groups in America today.

The political center has collapsed. There is no one in the middle who can be persuaded to your side by your good "reputation." If someone is willing to give the left a pass on rioting but not the right, you were never going to get them anyway. There's the size and strength of your side. That's all there is.

As for Congress tightening the noose, promising Congress you'll behave if they don't tighten the noose is a pathetic way to live.
I think it usually goes without saying, but, at the same time, I have never actually seen anyone say that, so I'll do it right now:
Appeal to accelerationism can sometimes be a logical argument, but for that to be the case it has to be based on logic that goes beyond the fact of certain group getting oppressed.
For example: American right-wingers have always been extra lazy when it comes to protesting violently, they are extremely unorganized (as shown by them just hanging around the Capitol and doing nothing), they have just been backstabbed by the very leader who unified them to begin with, they aren't starving enough to act out of desperation, etc.
To sit there and claim that those people are going to suddenly overthrow the government with nothing but your immense ass pain to support that is not an argument. It's a thinly veiled and incredibly empty and pathetic threat.
You clearly want those elites overthrown (who doesn't?) but you're so useless and, at the same time, butthurt that all you can do is scream at the clouds and make empty pathetic promises on the behalf of everyone but yourself. And it's fucking hilarious.

Implying Kamala isn't the real president in less than six months.
Yeah, but like she'll be any more real than Biden. No one is letting a Biden or Kamala device anything. If either of them try they should know for sure they'll get Trumped, only there will be no huge uproar about it, as no one ever gave a shit about them to begin with.

Ok so how long before youtube caves and purges like twitter is doing?
Is there really much even left on Youtube? Other than funny media reviews, pretty much everything of value was yeeted long ago. We are already years deep into this campaign.

"muh liberals destroying their own community"

nigger in what world is a Starbucks the community? they were raiding footlockers and targets not torching day care centers and libraries
You think all they smashed was footlockers and starbucks?
Were you in a coma this summer, and then you just read about the riots in the news?

well of course the good shit probably isn't going to be on some random staffer's hard drive, but there has to be SOMETHING beefy on there...
Frankly, it would be worse to grab a USB drive, put some malware on it and drop it back on the ground, where it will be found after cleanup.

Sorry if it's been already discussed and I missed it, but:

Were any of our known lolcows or persons of interest at the riot?

There are some old philosophy, physics and math interviews/conferences along with a channel dedicated to archiving old ass 3rd Strike competitions. Other than that and some old jazz/classical albums, not really.

hat exactly is the point of "terrifying" the congress when all it leads to is your group bleeding reputation in any circles that aren't your personal circlejerk while the very same congress goes out of its way to tighten the figurative noose around your neck?

I thought the point of terrifying someone was to force them to act in your interests, not to alienate the few people with power who were on your side.
Nancy Antoinette Pelosi showed off her gourmet ice cream and went to hair salons while the peasants lost their jobs and stayed grounded.

Don't expect me to feel bad when her office gets culturally enriched.

There was someone in here that PL'd earlier that said they were a fed staffer, and they suggested that whatever terminals and hard drives were swiped or accessible were probably nonconfidential and just shit like people emailing their representative or something. But time will tell I guess if there isn't more on there
Well, it depends on what they are after.
With Covid and working from home being such a prevalent thing lately. It could be very possible that the laptop has a VPN that connects into the network they use at Capitol Hill. Giving then, access (probably password protected , I will lol if they saved all their passwords so they automatically log into programs ) to most internal systems that they use.

Office pack, archive systems, etc. Not to mention Pelosi is going on 100 and probably have saved a bunch of files locally rather than on her cloud (or wherever else). Which is probably synched to the account she owns....

So over all, there is potential for interesting and "fun" things to happen, but we will not know unless someone with some computer skills manages to get into the laptop somehow.

This.

Politicians don't get classified briefings over email. I bet there's a lot of sensitive personal data on stolen drives etc, and maybe some juicy gossip, but it's mostly going to be lunch orders and meeting requests.

This is a take of a moron, Maddox once again shows that he is an idiot. The kind of intelligence he is talking about isn't on some fucking random Congressman's laptop, any "US Operative abroad" is mentioned only as "an asset in xyz Country" or other obfuscated terms. Nor would there be technical blueprints for shit either, the most you'll find on the Pelosi laptop is cat pictures and e-mail correspondence on the same level as the Podesta leaks. Most likely the E-mail doesn't even land on the physical device itself, only Clinton was crooked enough to duplicate it onto a private server. I'm almost certain all of that stuff requires logging into a portal.
I wouldn't be surprised if Pelosi actually saved sensitive information to the Desktop.
Antifa call themselves anarchists but they're generally actually extremely authoritarian outright communists.
Communism is inevitably authoritarian when it collides with real life.
Getting rid of poll tests was a huge mistake.

IMO if you barely know the country's history then you shouldn't be allowed to decide its future.
Making Senate races popular vote was also a mistake.

Late?

If they go after Boomerwaffen but let antifa keep trying to burn down people's livelihoods I'm gonna shit.
There's probably going to be a quiet culling of Antifa, while they make bust on Right Wing Extremist high profile.

I'll add I'm predicting a 180 on anti-police rhetoric in the press. Expect a lot of puff pieces about police departments reforming, and "FIRST TRANS POLICE OFFICER IN ARKANSAS!" type articles

On the other hand, politicians aren't supposed to keep sensitive information on personal computers stuffed in the basement of their homes, and Weiner's laptop wasn't exactly the most secure thing in the world, so who fucking knows with these tech-illiterate fossils.
