You just summed up the last four years. You can call it as it is all you want but nothing is going to change unless you do something or separate yourself. Conservatives and Trump had plenty of time to change how the internet worked. But they rested on their laurels for two years when they controlled congress and only tried to do something when their new consecutive rise was already falling apart. There was nothing they could do after losing the house.

I don't really know how you could say the two things are remotely equivalent though. Antifa and BLM types have been rioting for the better part of a year now, and that's not even touching past riots and violent acts like Ferguson, or the congressional shooting. The entire time Jewish media downplayed all of it while dogmatizing the general populous into believing that a bunch of dumb boomer rallies were the actual riots (people honestly believe the Tea Party protests were some kind of Holohoax 2.0). Eventually, even the brainwashed center righties were going to one day come to the conclusion that "well if we're going to get the blame for shit we didn't do anyway, we might as well actually do said things so we can at least get the benefits of it."

Getting anything done on this topic legislatively with a House run by Paul Ryan, with McCain and Flake in a Senate that had a slimmer majority while Big Tech was only getting started on censoring openly and there was less push from even the base that had won an election on the back of social media is a pipe dream. There's a lot that can be done by executive orders or even just staffing agencies with people who support you. It's not even about expertise. Most CIA niggers are blithering morons fresh out of college. If Trump had staffed the department with fanatically loyal qoomers he'd have got more done.

Everything with Trump comes down to his lack of government experience and the decision to cap off a win he got by ditching most of everything in the GOP by putting those losers back in power. That and grandstanding but backing off once someone tells him he's a good boy, but he'd be an even better one if he nixed his policy and did theirs instead. See Graham, his daughter or Kushner.
