Is there a term for the phenomenon where someone is pissed and frustrated about a particular situation and the oppressive dictats that are put forth to deal with said situation, but instead of being pissed at the people issuing the ridiculous dictats, they take out their anger and frustration on the people that don't shy from calling the dictats idiotic, oppressive, and contrary to the dictators own behavior and "official" information? I think "transference" might be the general psychological term, but I'm wondering if there's anything more specific.

It hits everyone differently. One of my coworkers entire family had it but they all had varying symptoms (youngest sister didn't have a fever but tested positive and lost the sense of taste for a day and a half, elder sister was asymptomatic, he had what seemed like the flu, mom had everything on the covid symptom list and the dad was just released from the ICU on Wednesday where he had been since early to mid December).

Technically you could have already have gotten it and had been none the wiser. It isn't good to borrow trouble. Take all the precautions you want but stressing yourself out to an extreme degree is just going to weaken your immune system

Don't go to the hospital if you get it. There's a higher than normal chance they will kill you through incompetence depending on your location.

How depressing to see while on my ski trip. I'm glad as awful as this bullshit is in America at least they're not shutting down all ski resorts.

Btw as I write this post I'm enjoying a beer at the Tram Club at Snowbird in Utah. It's fucked up I have to drive to Utah just to live like a normal human being but in spite of that I'm having an amazing time and I even met some local snowboarders and tailgated with them.

Speaking of Andy Nips, haven't looked into this yet but supposedly he's changed his tune on the distribution rules for the vaccine and will now allow people to get it if the dose is about to expire. At work we were asked by our foremen if we wanted to get the vaccine. We're assuming that it's to be put on a waiting list for these doses.
