The issue here is not what the consequences society deem reasonable are but who gets to be the arbiter. Ignoring whether or not anybody should have that power, I think we can agree it shouldn't be a corporation.
The people who control the government. That's how it has always been and how it will always be. The mistake Americans made was thinking, "The Constitution will protect my rights." No, not if the people in government (e.g. The GOP) don't care.

Everyone loses in a civil war. The issue however is that for a civil war to occur one side is guaranteed a total victory without the war ever occurring and the other side has no choice but to roll the dice in the hope that their lives will be less shit after the war is over.

The entire POINT of a Constitutional Republic is to codify non violent means to achieve political ends. It prevents civil conflict. People don't feel the need to resort to violence every time their side loses power.

If that avenue is closed, well, the losers either are faced with losing forever or going to war. Because the unfortunate truth of ALL human societies is power is not derived from god, the consent of the governed or mere authority for authorities sake. Power is derived from violence and the Gun is the final argument of Kings.
Wrong. The US Constitution Republic collapsed in 1861. Democracy, elections and Republican only work when 1 side or both sides are willing to tolerate each other. Eventually (around the 1 human lifetime mark - saeculum), unresolved disputes boil over and civil wars or regime changes occur. This is a pattern throughout history, dictatorship or democracy, it makes no difference. Your values don't work. You're repeating standard dogma.

This is what is ACTUALLY meant when we say "peaceful transition of power". It means the winners take over, but they leave in place a method for the losers to take power back.
Taking power means actually passing laws that your side likes and thus the other side hates. That is REAL power. Simply governing without a mandate to enact policy is NOT real power.

Some of you guys are acting really gay with this bullshit "muh both sides" Balance Fallacy. If you you're pushing this nonsense false equivalence between the behavior of both sides you're really retarded.
Exactly. There is no yin-yang here. One side opposes most of the other's ideals yes, but one side's ideals aren't horrendous, while the other's largely is.

The biggest problem has been mainstream media there. Not the interwebs. How it looks blasted into the home on a TV. By proxy.

However internet campaigning and this whole Trump monkeypaw will be more of a curse more than a blessing in the long term. I liked it better when Ron Paul was the internet right-ish vanguard. A largely discarded guy with a few ideas that might be neat if someone figured how to make it work. Then social media happened and people stopped caring they just wanted [insert fanciful magic unicorn bullshit] and they want it yesterday. This was, by and large, what you hear in political circles on the internet. Impossible shit. And everyone played down to it.

The internet isn't IRL. The GOP just went through a painful lesson of learning that. Shitposting is not a replacement for Main Street.

I'm cool with them taking a few minutes in the penalty box for that. My only problem is that it interrupts several extra penalty minutes the dems earned for their own, completely unpunished, social media bullshit.
Ron paul has been facebook banned lmao

do the right thing? Morally it would be right to hang Baron Cohen from a tree, the grotty fakejew.

That sounds awesome (in minecraft). What are you talking about?
It wouldn't be awesome (in minecraft) because fucking heck, it's like chimps vs. chimps. Nobody would win!

Biden supporters are as dense as bricks and Trump supporters can't count.
