Trump Enslavement Syndrome - Orange man good. /r/The_Donald and any public demonstration of rabid pro-Trump enthusiasm in spite of all reason.

While I can understand some Christians supporting Trump because he leaves them alone is a good thing. I really think the evangelicals are fucking stupid for comparing Trump to a deity and making garbage films/books like the "Trump Prophecy" where they just support Trump because apparently God said so with no real reasons for liking him. Of course loony religious types are par for the course in American political discussion which is sad.

I joined up relatively recently but I’ve been reading about Chris since, jesus, 2008 I think? I’m sorry I missed the test portion of this site.

It’s not that I agree businesses should run unfettered and have insane amounts of power, it’s that they do, and largely because of conservative lawmaking. Yeah, I’d much rather overturn citizens United and clamp down on lobbying and break up monopolies, but conservatives like that shit and Dems don’t mind it either. Just because a bunch of liberals are pointing out the truth doesn’t mean they agree with it. It’s just the truth!
Anyone Remember when the Republican party had actual progressives like Teddy Roosevelt and Robert Lafollette?

All they have to do to alleviate their fears is think about the logistical nightmare of setting up "death camps" and our federal government, nevermind the DNC portion of it, trying to get that done within, oh, 50 years.
We can't even roll out the Bill Gates mind control vaccines correctly, much less set up death camps.

You know, just yesterday one of Trump's toadies went on TV to say - I shit you not - that he was the manliest president who ever lived.

Compared to the man who got shot point blank but finished his speech anyway? I don't think so.

lol

Plus it's direct idolitry and borderline Paganism.

Just 20-30 years ago it was Conservatives slobbering all over Big Corporate's cock only now that those corporations have decided Right Wing extremism is bad for business do they complain.

It's going to be fun to see this same cycle repeat with internet "progressives" once Left Wing activism falls out of favor in the public zeitgeist again.

Apparently some of these guys are going to be charged with sedition and conspiracy, so... sucks to be them.
The worst part is that what they did is the literal definition of sedition (not treason, though, people using the word “treason” are wrong), and yet they’ll scream that they’re being oppressed somehow.

Or maybe that’s the best part, I don’t know.

Edit: I guess you can make a case for some people committing treason, anyone with zip ties or a weapon probably can have that case made against them, but everyone who stormed the capitol is guilty of sedition.

Treason has to do with betraying a government and undermining it against a foreign enemy right? It's one of those words I've always known but never look up the textbook definition for. Might be confusing the foreign enemy part with another law.

This is fanfic levels at this rate, it reminded me of that one reddit post on romanticizing voting Trump out as though it was the most wonderful day of all time with sunshine and rainbows.

Is there some sort of pendulum shift that supernaturally turns the fringe side of the losing party into autistic retards whenever their guy loses?
