Damn. :semperfi:
Also: Protesters chanting to hang the vice president while they force their way into the Capitol where he currently is holed up is peak peaceful protest.

I think this applies to most western nations at this point. Maybe it would be fair taking turns in the asylums for an equal time share.

Frankly, if there had been like a dozen or so guys with guns in the crowd a week ago, intending to shoot up some politicians, shit would have gone downhill pretty swiftly. Thank fuck it genuinely was just a bunch of boomers without a goal. Anything else would have ended in desaster.
"pigs in a blanket, fry them like bacon"

...Ring any bells Dunning?

"We need to go down there. burn their shit down, we need our shit"

ALso, remember the BLM supporters who supported ISIS?

AOC has gone full season 8 Daenerys : https://www.theblaze.com/aoc-liberation-of-southern-states

It's a veiled threat for now...
This is just another step at kicking the South while it is down when anything happens on the Federal level; Nothing new there. If the Union lasts another 2 centuries I predict a complete cultural genocide of the South. It is mostly a self-fulfilling prophesy at this point because the situation radicalizes people, then some of them do a terrorism, which inspires a further cultural taboo against anything Southern, which causes more tension, which radicalizes-- You see my point.

Granted, this still seems alarmist at the moment because the long term trends will take another decade or so to become noticeable. You see signs of it though when you look at what happened to states like Virginia and compare it's condition to earlier decades.

This is actually extremely cogent; it's arguable that the entire regime established by the Civil Rights Act of 1964 and everything that flowed from it as a later result that does not seem directly connected, such as Title IX abuse and arbitrary hate crime sentence augmentation nonsense, all arose out of a desire to punish the South.

Arguably, a great number of our current societal ills could be said to have arisen out of that desire by Northerners to get back at Southerners. Rather distressing, huh?

Apparently assassinating the President who was against Southern punishment and was pro-black only statehood or Liberia colonializing was a shitty fucking idea, good job Booth, you single-handedly put the Southern punishers into power and made racial relations worse for decades to come.

Not all of it, there were plenty of people who genuinely wanted equality and saw the South as an aberration to that ideal; But yes, there were also plenty of politicians that did seem to just fundamentally dislike everything about it. It goes much further back than the 1960s as well, but that is probably getting too off topic.

Only faggots use "ignore" on the internet.

Also, the phrase "pearl clutching" has lost all meaning in the last week. Use a different descriptor.
Most people who use the word "pearl clutching" and "please think of the children" nowadays are those very defensive about zoophilia and pedophilia. I don't find them that insulting anymore if those are the people using them against me personally.

I think The Age of Entitlement makes an excellent case that it was mostly punitive and continues to this day, myself. But we don't really disagree on the substance of that, I imagine. I see 1964 as a real turning point where things went from bad to permanently worse in our interactions with the federal government.

@ConfederateIrishman the worst part is that the South is fucking awesome and eliminating it would be removing a valuable aspect of the American story, gunt notwithstanding.
Only one state in the South is worth keeping above all others
Don't scroll down without saying howdy.jpg

The BLM riots were far worse than the Capitol riots because the BLM riots ruined the lives of innocent working-class families. The oligarchs in Capitol Hill deserve to be frightened. They treat Americans like scum.
You guys keep conveniently leaving out the part that the Capitol rioters actually tried to fuck with the American democracy. They were unhappy with the results of the Presidential election so they tried to disrupt the process. That is not just going after the elites.

"American democracy"

This joke has already been said over and over, be original.

If it leads to the Congress having felt fear to the American people I have absolute apathy towards Trump doing all of this, in fact he didn't go far enough. Fuck legality, fuck the feds, fuck the glowies they should feel fear of us, playing nice with the people who would rather shill to foreign aid, corporations and line their own pockets don't deserve apologies or condemnation of violence towards them.
Damn, almost sounds like a Tom Morello backtrack belongs on this paragraph.

Yeah, to hell with people in the Whitehouse that don't care about who hold them up. The American dream has been good as dead for such a long time. Anybody who thinks the political figures care about us common people can cope more. So much should have been done to stop all of the bullshit. Cries fell on deaf ears (Bengazi rings a bell), presidential elects sold out people for cash, the senate doing deals behind the peoples back for their own profit, (Selling companys to across seas for barter, passing bills if it only helps their candidates or their side of house), media is now a multi trillion dolar capital that can control what you think it seems, and I thought America could have really blown up here. For 5 minutes as I watched shit unfold at work, I was thinking "Damn, today is finally the day, isn't it?" I kinda wish things turned out a little differently on the 6th.

Kinda. Atleast to sit back and watch the shit spread.
