Thought we could use this thread to talk about the upcoming shows on Disney Plus that specifically take place in the MCU

WandaVision is coming first. Its going to be a parody of sitcoms (allegedly ties in to Dr Strange 2)

The Falcon and The Winter Soldier follows the continuing adventures of Sam Wilson and Bucky Barnes as well as Sharon Carter. (Supposedly takes place after Black Widow and allegedly ties into the upcoming Thunderbolts film)

Loki is about...well..Loki. lol

>WandaVision
Amazing. Make the starting gun of your MShowU be based on a comic so boring that even a completionist like me cared little to read, and I read the goddamn Dazzler comics. And a sitcom you say? Oh boy, just what I need. Disney aping the Big Bang Theory.

Just give me another Daredevil season. It's the best thing Marvel made, and that includes the MCU.

I was pleasantly surprised. Kitty Foreman is still ageless.
The two episodes definitely benefit from multiple watches. It's cute and funny the first time but gets creepier with researches.

Also, pay attention to the opening credits.

Auntie A's kitty litter, Bova milk, Wonder something (possible Wonder Man reference)

Six points around the clock, different colours, possible other infinity stone reference

Figure right next to the lamp resembles The Whizzer, who Wanda once theorized was her father

Actually that helmet is a Grim Reaper reference

Cinema Robert and similar cretins genuinely seem to think it's something worth seeking moral lessons from, which is frankly rather frightening.
Heroes like Spider-Man are wasted on Bobbert. Pete doesn't blame his problems on some political enemies and doesn't play favourites when saving someone. Basically what I'm saying is fuck Bob, Spidey for life.

I thought it was mostly boring.

The "weird shit's happening, things don't add up" stuff is like 2% of each episode, the rest is "lol '50s sitcoms" plots that are about as engaging as watching paint dry. I constantly found myself staring off into the distance and checking to see how much more time was left. They could've leaned more heavily into the weird, contradictory details part and gave the show a dream-like quality or gone with a Stepford Wives 'everything's so idyllic it's fucking creepy' thing but instead it feels like SNL doing a sitcom parody.

Could be worse, I guess. They could've gone with "ugh, weren't those old sitcoms so sexist and backwards!?"

It definitely does take some time to get going, but I have seen both episodes twice and you notice more and more "clues" on the second watch.

Maybe it’s because I’ve watched to many old sitcoms but I kinda liked it. The genuine feel good sitcom attempt works for the most part but the “haha isn’t It funny that where super hero’s doing this” moments just pull me out of it completely as I wait for my eyes to stop rolling and besides maybe the the bee suit guy and splash of color the “creepy” moments fell completely flat.
I really like the clear distinction in sitcom periods in both episodes being more dick van dyke in the first and bewitched/I dream of genie in the second. Worst part for me is how flat the black and white is cause it’s just color footage change with a filter and not filmed and lit for black and white. It’s a shame cause black and white can look so great when you properly work with the contrast even the old sitcoms there mimicking looked better
Favorite parts so far is the genuine attempt at a fun sitcom and there’s probably gonna be less and less of that as the show progress towards the main plot. Also drunk vision was pretty great even if his drunk voice is just Paul bettany using his accent.

So like... I know that the actress who plays Scarlet Witch is related to those to little goblins who played the breakout character from Full House, and I'll even admit that she isn't as ugly as they were, but it's still distracting how much she still looks like a goblin...
