I swear Walgreens had $2 two liters back in the day when most stores they were 70 cents.Yesterday was January 14th. One of the local walgreens has summer toys and supplies up in one area and are putting up more. They have chalk by the bunches for kids to play on a sidewalk where it's covered in ice and snow. FFS
Also walgreen's prices. I didn't know the jewish satanic flag came in green.
Try Privacy Badger it blocks advertising and trackers. When I'm unable to use Adblock's block element on something that annoys me.
You finish arguing with somebody (or they just end it), THAT'S when you just come up with a good comeback. Now it's just lingering and stewing in your head.
This also applies to regular conversation too. Damn it, why didn't I say that before?
If you brandish a gun, you best use it."Just rack the shotgun" yeah I'm definitely gonna send the potentially armed home invader into either a panic or rage and give away my location. I'm sure he will assess the situation calmly and logically and surrender
Their comments don't even make any sense. I'm not even cold because I took the time to dress appropriately. If they dressed the same, then they wouldn't be cold either. What business of theirs is it if you're cold?
Honorable professionals in any field are hard to find because most, if not all, are old enough to either be retired or dead. There were the pros who focused on providing no-frills quality service that were as reasonably-priced as possible -- especially for those they knew had tight budgets.Do you remember honorable medical professionals? They're dying off, they're mostly from the Greatest Generation.
I feel as if Patreon is used a grift most of the time where the promise is "Give me money and I might create something from time to time when I feel like it or get enough money to make it worthwhile." Those creators who use it the right way so to speak are definitely in the minority.Patreon. I despise 99% of creators on it,
When I started working at my present job and started working on our restaurant clients' monthly bookkeeping, I found it eye-opening to see how much waitstaff made per hour after taxes and after tips were removed from the equation. Diners shouldn't be expected to tip so much that they're subsidizing the bulk of their server's pay.As someone who has worked in the food business I find the way using tipping to underpay employees to be criminal.
This happens in all sorts of stores. Go there in winter and find tank tops, swimwear, and flip flops. Going to the same store the middle of summer looking to replace a seasonal item results in one finding snow boots and other winter gear. It's very frustrating to know what you'll need in terms of season items six months in advance because that's how the stores primarily stock their shelves.Yesterday was January 14th. One of the local walgreens has summer toys and supplies up in one area and are putting up more.
My related peeve is this one site that hosts software updates for a freeware program I use. As soon as I click on the download link and before the "Save As..." dialog can display, I'm redirected to "pretty please allow ads so you can download your update and support us."When I turn adblock on and get some retarded message about how the owners need money to feed their family so I should turn it on or else their kids will die.
I've observed the same thing. There's nothing inherently wrong with people behind niche interest blogs, podcasts, etc. having and expressing their opinion on current events. When they sperg out about it so much that they don't talk about the actual topic of interest, however, it's off-putting.Blogs and accounts with a specific niche interest that start posting more and more off-topic shit. I know with Twitter it's to be expected that lots of people try to meet a "woke post" quota, but I just want to indulge my autism and look at blogs that post cute animu figures.
Doesn't that waste cartridges?"Just rack the shotgun" yeah I'm definitely gonna send the potentially armed home invader into either a panic or rage and give away my location. I'm sure he will assess the situation calmly and logically and surrender
Here in Bongland we have a newspaper called the Guardian which I occasionally read to get a balanced view. It constantly begs for money on its website and bitches if you have an ad blocker by displaying messages about bringing in a paywall. My related peeve is this one site that hosts software updates for a freeware program I use. Equally annoying are the sites that display a "We see you're using an ad-blocker. Please consider disabling it." pop-up on every single page one browses on that site.
Soft and hard water definitely taste different. When people insist that all tap and bottled water tastes the same, and that you have to be delusional to say otherwise.
Some water is delicious, and some is fucking vile: if it's all interchangeable to you that means your taste buds and/or sense of smell are shot.
I think it's largely the result of people who behave in ways they know they shouldn't and then, when caught, are quick to say, "Well, there wasn't a rule (explicitly) stating I couldn't do X," or ,"I didn't know I couldn't do that," to try to avoid any consequences for their lack of personal responsibility.Anyone else think the modern world has way too many rules in just about everything?
Not only that, but people who are used to one of these usually notice the difference right away when they drink the other. In college, I was part of a weekend-long team-building activity. The camp we stayed at had some form of hard water with that distinctively different taste. Those few people that had never had hard water before either didn't realize it tasted different or had no clue why and learned their lesson the hard way when all the water they gulped down that first night gave them cramps the next morning.Soft and hard water definitely taste different.
I don’t think I’ve ever had water that tasted bad. Probably because I’m not poor I’d surmise. Side note, I was once interviewed for some guy’s book and he bought me a ten dollar water at some fancy restaurant. When people insist that all tap and bottled water tastes the same, and that you have to be delusional to say otherwise.
