It's not just her terrible breathing - she just constantly has snot (or possibly blood as we know now) hiding up in there and she's using air to play with it. It's like the sound a little kid makes when they're told to blow their nose for the first time and they just don't put any oomph into it. Once you hear it, it's constant and horrible, especially if you use headphones.

Peetz works some menial customer service job and should know by now that wrangling the elderly is going to be 80% is what you do.
