This might be an odd question but has anyone noticed an increase in bugmen/bugwoman ever since Covid hit? There were always a lot of them especially in cities but now it seems like there's one every two feet.

Boomer women wear a mask with a plastic face shield over it, and the other day I saw an old woman wearing a full fucking gas mask in public. I don't wear a mask when outside, and I've been approached several times from angry middle aged "Karen" type women who shouted at me to put one on, even when I was far away from them on the sidewalk.

Isn't this explained by the basic rational/emotional divide that always comes up regarding how the genders tend to approach problems? Going for emotion over hard logic seems like it would naturally lead to higher acceptance of gaslighting regardless of which gender was being gaslit.

Mildly crushed today to have finally had the last bits of rosy glass shattered for one of my closest friends. That is to say, I messaged him back and asked him not to send that kind of stuff to me, felt like I didn't have much to contribute to the conversation. He latches onto me admitting I was going to wait for more data regarding the vaccine, keeps pressing until I can practically smell the 'conspiracy theorist' accusation on the tip of his tongue.

He wasn't saying it, but it was definitely there.

I call him out on it because I'm pretty fucking angry that he's 'disappointed' ( his words, not mine ) in me, calls me a 'fence sitter', and tells me flat out that 'The vaccine is safe, having hesitation about taking it is anti-expert sentiment'. What do we know about the new variant emerging from Brazil? This variant, known as P.1 or VOC202101/02 in the UK, was first detected in travelers from Brazil who arrived in Japan in January 2021. It involves 17 unique amino acid changes, three deletions, four synonymous mutations, and one 4nt insertion. This is a new as of (Jan 2nd) variant of an already existing variant from Brazil which was documented to better avoid detection of the bodies immune system and now shares the same mutation that the more transmissible UK variant has.

Huh, I agree with your observations on boomer karens in general, but I have had a 50/50 mix of harpies and soyboys as the ones who have confronted me about mask compliance in public. The most memorable occasions were both raging faggots (in spirit if not actual orientation) who were clearly, visibly actually TERRIFIED that I was going to murder them with my bare face and became proportionally aggressive.
