Unpopular opinions about food

Probably going to food hell for these crimes but its an unpopular opinion for a reason.

  • I like pizza but god I cannot eat it with too much sauce on it.
  • Putting nacho cheese dorritos on your chicken sandwiches is A-okay and really delicious
  • and putting nacho cheese dorritos inside original oreos is peak snack time and also taste really delicious.

The wendy's Baconator sounds good on paper but the price point in conjunction with the fact the condiment and bun ratio is out of whack makes it sub-par overall compared to other similarly priced fast food burgers.
I think this is true of most fast food burgers, but especially true of the baconator.

French Toast is consistently better than pancakes.

Dipping is better than spreading.

I'm the same way with pasta. I usually add a little bit and have the pasta covered with butter or oil for flavor.

The Waffle House is overrated.

Green tea is a great substitute for coffee. The warmth and sweetness of the honey is enough to wake me up.

Air fryers are underrated.

I'm autistic about meat. The texture matters more to me than flavor so I feel sick if it's too soft or wet. It has to be overcooked, preferably burned because I like the charred taste.

I know this is a weird mental hangup so I made some chicken and cooked it "properly" to see wtf I have going on. It made me feel sick for two days so I'll stick to dried out burned meat. The meat wasn't bad or anything because I bought it same day and other people ate it and they're perfectly fine.

It took a little while to get used to it, but now I would rather eat veggie sticks as a snack instead of what used to my old go-to, which was potato chips. Potato chips just make me feel kinda sluggish these days. Carrots and celery with a little bit of blue cheese (just a little bit, though) are my favorite snack food now. I also buy microwavable frozen bags of asparagus, broccoli and brussels sprouts, and I can eat one of those bags in one sitting.

Even though it might take you a little more time, roasting those bitches in the oven makes them 100x better.

I generally agree with you there when it comes to fresh brussels sprouts.

But when I am smoking weed and have a case of the munchies, microwavable frozen veggies are great low-calorie instant munchies food.

I've never brewed tea from scratch before.
I make my tea or coffee in a french press, sometimes even doing that with teabags. I really like the bitter taste of coffee and I can't find a good substitute for it. I tried roasted dandelion root tea and roasted chicory, but it's just not the same. :(

I have to ask for light sauce or scrape off sauce or else I get nausea.

My unpopular food opinion is that I hate the smell of bacon, it's like to can smell the fat.

Since TV dinners got brought up, I'll state that I'm a freak that when I can't be arsed to cook anything at all will microwave or oven bake a Celeste pizza for a meal.

I'll also eat Ellio's and I do it the dumbest way: pick apart the pizza ingredient by ingredient. This is the only pizza I ever do this with by the by.

I don't know if this is an unpopular opinion, but people have given me an odd look about it before so I assume so, but I like a splash of vinegar in just about any rice that isn't white. Gives it a nice zesty kick

I haven't eaten Ellio's in years, so I gotta know, why take that one apart specifically?

I think it's actually pretty normal tbh. Hell, it's similar to what sushi originally was.

I don't know. If I had to guess it's because of the crust and the fact it's so fortified. That and how the cheese and sauce act together. It was a weird thing I only ever did with that brand as a kid.
