Edit: I may of been a bit too cynical when judging his taste in vtubers as it is likely that he's a fan of them (or the top talent of hololive at the very least) however, I still stand by the sentiment that Q only wants to make a video for the views.

As usual, with Quinton involved is a little bit more complicated than what it seems.
Q has mentioned Korone a lot and his SpongeBob video even ends with a screenshot of his recommended filled with Gura videos. Funny enough he replying Gura came right after he was fighting nazi lolicons on Twitter.
Is he in the v-tuber rabbit hole? Likely, but I doubt he does know much about it beyond the memes and highlights.

As for making a video, you need to remember that Q has based all his MO on his channel doing well. When he asks his audience if they want something he is actually asking if they are going to watch it so he can get money for his effort.

Then he already has his excuse right there. I think a lot of people already know about Vtubers and would be interested in a video about them. More than the amount of people who'd watch a video about Heatcliff at least.

Him waiting for an excuse will just fuck him over as then he'll have to compete with every other YouTuber out there also making a video about them. If he did one now he'd have the advantage of being a head of the curve.
