People have been convicted for trivial nonsense like getting a dog to do a Hitler salute, but those are in regular courts. It's more a comment on just how far troons have gone that even the UK thinks it's a bit much.
This happened very quickly in MMA a few years ago. There was one troon fighter called Fallon Fox, who didn't even beat all the women he fought, and that was enough to put anyone off ever sanctioning it again (as far as I know). Rugby banned troons from the sport last year, though I'm not sure if any particular incident caused that, and the Olympics imposed a testosterone limit on women. I've heard from someone else that the main risk is in college sports, since every professional sport has either taken action to stop this already before it even became an issue or will do so as soon as it becomes one.
