Is it a dick move to post that video with the title "Kiara from Hololive'', yes absolutely but that's just the nature of the biz. Also all you faggots that went ''oh man i shouldn't have watched that, poor kiara sniff '', well you went and you did and gave those videos more views, well done.

Kiara was old enough at that time to understand the shit she was doing. It isn't as if she was forced into sex or anything, its for good fun (with some serious dry humping lmao). I'm sure not even Keeki would feel as bad as you fags and brush it off or even laugh about it nowadays.

Yes yes, Keeki have an unpleasant day at work. And yes, the fact shit even get that far is horrible. But really, what do you expect? It's not just Japanese thing either, Dan Schneider exploit child actors to get his gears running, so yeah.

I'm not in anyway condoning any of it mind you, I just thought everybody is using euphuisms for something way worse, because you always expect the worst when talking about this kind of shit, and thankfully my expectation was subverted, even if things is still horrible. Going back to the 10 pages of discussing about whether or not Cover is a 'black company' and what Pekora's upset about:

East Asian companies, just like companies everywhere, are cheap as fuck and aren't going to pay for stuff until it starts to affect their consumers or bottom line. For example, we were told that we weren't allowed to use the heating at my job at the beginning of winter but when non-employees started complaining that it was fucking cold we got to turn the heaters back on (it took exactly one week). Do I hate my boss or think he's an asshole? Nah, but he is a big cheapo.

When it comes to wanting more licenses to play games, they aren't going to pay for them unless there's some big push from viewers for a specific game. It's nothing personal, it's just take maximize the income. If Pekora's upset about how they're splitting that SC/membership money, that's a toughie. From what some people where I live told me, negotiating with your employer isn't as common as it is in the west. That might just be a situation where she's stuck.

What's a good vtuber to watch these days? I was planning on watching more than just Korone, Miko, Haachama, but never got around to it and now there seems to be like 50 million vtubers and I'm lost in which I should give a chance.

While I could list like 5 million I just recommend collabs the vtubers you watch have done with others or viceversa, it's an easy way to quickly see another one's sense of humor, how they interact with others and if you like it enough to start watching them.

The fastest way to burn out is to try and start watching 50 vtubers at once that people keep throwing at you to be honest, not like I'm not guilty of that.

I doubt it's that, she makes good money regardless of how the split is. Amelia has been doing this for much less time and isen't even one of the big SC earners even in the EN side and she's recently bought a $3000 PC a new sofa and bought her aunty a car like it's no big deal. When you consider the amount Pekora has made vs Amelia, I can't imagine it being the split of SC/Membership

I mostly agree with what Gisae said. I'd also say to sample a few Vtubers, until you find what you like.
One of my personal favourites is Ninomae Ina'nis. Very comfy and chill, S tier artist, cracks the best puns.
I usually put Vtubers as background noise whem I'm working or doing some chores.

Here's my chance to promote Bonnivier Pranaja, a Nijisanji Indonesia VTuber:
I don't play Apex and didn't understand much of it but I think he's pretty great in APEX. He also plays some FPS stuff and Minecraft. Overall, a very cool male VTuber that sometimes speaks English in his streams.

I'm not particularly shocked that people are doxing/trying to dox them. I mean, a group of cute female streamers with a six or seven digit number of subscribers each? Next you'll be telling me people jerk off to them, how shocking.

The severity of the situation isn't particularly high yet, unless you're actively looking for it. Most of these people are 2 or 3 orders of magnitude below actual Hololive in terms of attention, aka 0.1%-1% of people. That's probably why youtube hasn't taken notice of all of them yet. Both discord and youtube seem to be striking them down occasionaly, though.

What I'm curious about is whether youtube is going to do their job and start filtering it first, or if the doxfags have an internal dispute over who is the better doxxer and doxxx each other. Either way the meltdown should be hilarious, these idiots are using discord for god's sake. I'm sure a disorganized group of retards with competing channels and servers, hosting virtually identical content and about zero opsec between them combined should be a fun show.

As for the Keeki situation, "snuff porn" is obviously a gross exaggeration. This is far from the worst the entertainment industry has to offer, whether in the USA or Japan. Michael Jackson, Judy Garland and Whitney Houston all died in fucked up ways leading fucked up lifestyles but people continue to say "oh man these japanese idol companies are too horrible to their talents". It's a systemic problem where the talent and the audience have different expectations, which naturally leads to a lot of faking and half-assing to make room for things. It's nothing special or unique to anyone who suffered from it.

On a related note people love to say Cover has bad management practices but never specify what. Outside of an occasional concert they need to attend or stream pulled, they never seem to actually be overbearing or strict with their talents. They're pretty much allowed to set their own schedule and stream whatever they want, as long as it's reasonably often. Given they're a company in Japan, I'm almost certain that's exactly the bad management they were talking about, see also everyone saying Calli needs a tard wrangler.

I can see where they're coming from, because it leads to things like pulling Haachama's cursed lotion stream after it starts, but I don't really feel this is a major problem or that they need to change it. Their creativity and freedom is what got them here, after all.

I also really doubt it's that as well. That podcast that Calli was on has talked about VTubers more than a couple times before and the white guy on there had a question about the money situation as he thought that they'd be getting screwed out of their money. The episode after Calli was on when they talked about what they could behind the scenes of that episode without breaking NDA, the white guy said that he was very wrong in assuming that the streamers were getting screwed over in the split.
