The mainland Chinese government has a population of 13.94 billion = 63.93 COVID cases/ million people.
The mainland Chinese mortality rate is 4,635/89,115 = 5.20 percent of COVID cases or 3.3 deaths / million people.

Coof incidence is about twice as high in occupied mainland China while mortality is either about 6 and a half or 11 times greater depending on the metric you use. Chalk one up for capitalism.

I know the calculations you're talking about but these are much lower - those estimates were a few million COVID deaths nationwide while these are a few deaths per million people for a nationwide total of about 4,600. I can't recall the exact mortality rate but even one million dead would be a mortality rate of 717.4 / million people or about 215 times the official rate.

That being said I don't believe for a second China's numbers are real, I just think it's funny that even their made up numbers can't compete with Taiwan.
