I don't think people who aren't lolcows or evil should be doxxed.I don't think doxing is a good idea in general, but why VTubers specifically? What separates them from the average lowcow?

Luna have karaoke on her stream. She's out of breath cuz her character voice.
I honestly have no idea what the fuck is going on with this. A few of them that I know and watch used the hashtag and are fully in on it but I really don't understand why it was made in the first place. It's too far disconnected from Calli calling out the TBA crowd and the most recent thing that's happened was that Pewdiepie got an avatar. That whole shitshow makes about as much sense as Pokimane getting involved in it and I can't really see them as doing it for anything other than because it made good business sense.View attachment 1873163
Alright, what is this gay shit? Another excuse for pre-debut TBA indies to publicly circlejerk for exposure?
I checked the tag a bit more and I see a sold string of pre-debuts. Also, this:

I don't think "merit" exists in these people's dictionaries.
And apparently, Coco explored a bit off stream. She literally almost fully explored a medium(?) Terraria world. I can't even imagine how long that would take.
Haachama is doing a Marshmellow stream and somehow I'm legit scare.

Edit : She literally just said "Good bye Akai Haato" and "She's still in my head". The lore.
Probably,Haachama's level of english is actually much better than she lets on, according to what Coco said once. She just plays up the Engrish angle cause it's cute.
This is a good explanation, but I alsk want to add something people missed. Matsuri's full name, if I'm not mistaken, means "Summer-colored Festival", which literally just mean summer festival. But the usage of Natsuiro means something to evoke the feeling of "something like Summer" or things like thatSpyduck 2 months ago (edited):
Hi! In my own personal interest, I would like to further elaborate on the names given to the girls and reveal more interesting tidbits behind them. Since there's no official source, all of this is based on surmising from their design, and my personal knowledge with Chinese/Japanese naming conventions. It's a long wall of text, so do excuse me
1) Tokino Sora (ときのそら): As she was the solo pioneer idol, it was unlikely she was designed with any set or generation theme. Her official name has no kanji so there's nothing to derive from. If anything, her colour scheme is blue like her name, Sora (sky).
2) Hoshimachi Suisei (星街すいせい): Both "町" and "街" are pronounced "machi". But for naming people, "町" is used, while "街" refers to a street. This is likely deliberate as a star-street (星街) may refer to the linear band of stars, the Milky Way, which matches her astronomy motifs. Comets are said to travel across theMilky Way
3) Yozora Mel (夜空メル): As a vampire, Mel is certainly a denizen of the night sky (夜空)
4) Shirakami Fubuki (白上フブキ): In Japanese symbolism, foxes are mythical beings close to god. Her name Shirakami can also be broken down into Shiro/Shira (白), Gami/Kami (神), which lends into her fox motif. Her name Fubuki is interesting because it means "Blizzard". Since most fox characters are depicted in the yellow-brown spectrum, and occasionally silver, her name doesn't add up. She could thus be designed after an Arctic Fox. Since her official kanji is still "白上", this relation is of course debatable.
5) Natsuiro Matsuri (夏色まつり): Notice that Matsuri's entire design resembles the colours of a sunflower - a flower of summer and representing happiness. Natsu Matsuri is also a summer festival, one of energy, cheer and joy.
6) Minato Aqua (湊あくあ): Minato is also read as "港", the kanji character for a harbour.
7) Murasaki Shion (紫咲シオン): This is a funny one, because her name can literally mean Purple Purple. Murasaki (紫) is the colour purple and the common kanji for Shion is "紫苑". Since she has no aster flowers on her, it is likely her name is made from wordplay.
8 ) Nakiri Ayame (百鬼あやめ): As she is an oni , her name may refer to the Hyakki Yagyo (百鬼夜行), or Night Parade of One Hundred Demons. Ayame (Iris) is typically a purple flower, but it is absent in her design. Instead, she has red spider lilies at the lower half of her kimono, a flower related to death and rebirth.
9) Yuzuki Choco (癒月ちょこ): The Yu (癒) in her name means healing, as fitting of her occupation. Chocolates are viewed as a sensual or pleasure food, and come off as sweet or bitter, which may reflect her seductive personality. Oh and uh... She's NOT a succubus.
10) Oozora Subaru (大空スバル): This is a hard one as almost nothing in her design, key emoji nor motif represents her name. While not always the case, Subaru is used to name quite a few boyish or boisterous girls in fiction.
11) GAMERS - Pretty obvious but all girls share the mythical/god naming convention in their last names. Fubuki is a convenient inclusion because as mentioned above, her name when read, can be referenced as 白神 (White god), forming the quartet of animal girls.
12) Usada Pekora (兎田ぺこら): Usagi 兎, being the keyword to her name and design. (Sidenote: Pekora's social lifestyle is quite contrary to the nature of rabbits, as they are social animals that seek partnership and company)
13) Uruha Rushia (潤羽るしあ): Rushia's kanji (潤羽) has two meanings depending on your interpretation. Together with her butterfly motif, wet wings may refer to the emergence of butterflies from their cocoon. The alternate reading to Uruha also means 麗 (美麗), to mean beautiful. It is unclear if Rushia is derived from the Lucia butterfly or from an existing butterfly species similar to her dress. (Fun fact: Butterflies are also known for their symbolism with death and the departed)
14) Shiranui Flare (不知火フレア): Her last name Shiranui (不知火) translates into "unknown fire" (or the Japanese equivalent of will-o-the-wisps. As she is a half-elf and not ethereal in nature. It may be pure wordplay that her name was chosen as both her first and last names allude to fire (火). (Another popular character that wields fire of the same name is Mai Shiranui of KOF franchise fame)
15) Shirogane Noel (白銀ノエル): While the two kanji do mean white and silver respectively, the name Shirogane has an alternate reading, "白鋼", where "鋼" is metal.
16) Houshou Marine (宝鐘マリン): Besides the treasure hunting and Marine name, bells are a crucial piece of signalling equipment, even in modern ships. The word for Treasure in chinese, "宝藏", is also a few sounds away from "宝鐘".
17) Kiryu Coco (桐生ココ): Most emphasis on the name "桐", representing the kiri tree (Paulownia) The tree is notable for growing rapidly and really tall, alluding to her majestic height at 180cm. Her name Kiryu can be further broken down into Ki (树/Tree) and Ryu (龙/Dragon). The name Coco might just be a convenient English name for her to use as part of her USDA heritage. (And of course there's simply Kazuma KIRYU)
18 ) Tsunomaki Watame (角巻わため): Tsuno (horns), Maki (rotation), alluding to her spiralled horns. Wata-ame is actually cotton candy, so given her fluffy and sweet nature, this is likely an intentional choice.
19) Tokoyami Towa (常闇トワ): Both her names spell eternity. As mentioned, Tokoyami (常闇) represents everlasting darkness, while Towa can be read as (永), an eternity.
20) Himemori Luna (姫森ルーナ): Her name Hime (姫/Princess) and Luna, match her theme. But Mori (森/Forest), doesn't seem to match any part of her lore. Perhaps if you stretch that meaning to history, the "Mori" clan is of imperial ancestry, alluding to her background as a princess.
21) Momosuzu Nene (桃鈴ねね): Her name Momo & Suzu literally means Peach and Bell respectively. Not sure if Nene has any significance. While it is never mentioned anymore, the origin of her homeplanet "TaoTao" (桃桃) and her nickname Taoling (桃鈴) is literally in her name. Peaches are significant in both Chinese and Japanese folklore, but her entire design may be based off her love for Gintama's Kagura, which explains her now faded use of "Aru" and the chinese-influenced clothing.
22) Shishiro Botan (獅白ぼたん): To be accurate, her last name is derived as Shishi (獅子/Lion) and Shiro (白/White). Botan is a masculine sounding name which may reflect her "tough" exterior, and is also the Japanese name of the peony flower. In Japanese flower language, its significance is "bravery", befitting the lion.

Whenever I read about Matsuri I feel secondhand embarrassement.
It's like how Putin always waits for the translation even though everyone knows he's multilingual. He gets extra time to think of an answer.Probably,
This is something that bugs me with people speculating about Haato.
We know that people told new members of hololive too look to her for how to behave, and she got to go and study abroad.
Both of those things should get people to realize she plays it up to a great degree.
Her obsession toward Hoshikawa in my opinion is not healthy anymore (ofc it is). She need at least need to realize to stop doing this rather going more chasing Hoshikawa and her fans should put her on the leash for awhile. What about Hoshikawa? Did she feel uncomfortable when she's been chasing by Matsuri for this long time? I don't know about the cruise date between those two.I really don't know how to feel about Matsuri's obsession with Hoshikawa.
those plushies are so fucking cute i really hope they make some for the other gens i would get polka in a heartbeat.Gen 3 is really feels like the hololive golden gen no?
