I'm surmising that in a typical month she makes enough for rent, utilities (if seperately charged), car, and insurance. That said, I'm sure she goes over her food budget constantly. All those impulse food purchases go on credit. Just like it did before. Same with most of her Amazon purchases. I bet she cannot even mentally account for what she spends when a craving hits. It's just an impulse to act upon, intuitively, like everything else in her life. And her intuition sucks.

Perhaps that is where her family comes in? The extra hundred between mom and grandma to cover the ever growing Visa minimum due. She is digging a financial hole conveniently located next to the grave she is digging. I think she may have bought a back hoe at the rate she's going.

Absolutely. I don't doubt for a second Chantal makes more than $1,000 a month. But even with the shit she buys, she's not living the life of someone who makes between $60,000 and $70,000 a year.

Remember, a year ago, when she was moving out with Peetz, she was doing videos depressed about the apartments she was looking at within her price range and how much she so wanted the apartment she would eventually get (suggesting it was her dream apartment with stairs and a balcony) but that it was likely too much. Rent there is, at most, according to the interwebs, $2,000 a month. Even without Peetz, if she was making between $60,000 and $70,000 a year, she could likely afford $2,000 a month - and with Peetz? Even if he only makes $15 an hour or whatever, that's plenty enough to not get so upset over not being able to afford that apartment.

I get Chantal said Peetz could quit his job and she'd be able to support 'em both. But Chantal lies.

Maybe her highest grossing months she can hit $6,000 but I think those are rarer and rarer, to be honest.

Some back of the envelope calculations here: With rent/utilities and everything else, I can see her spending $3000/month. Maybe $4000, depending on how she splits rent with Peetz. Ballpark, of course. So that's probably how much she makes on YouTube. She doesn't live like a reasonable adult who makes $30-40k/year, but she's not a reasonable adult. She lives exactly like how a fourteen year old who somehow makes $30/k a year would live, assuming a fourteen year old managed to buy pot and booze on top of McDonald's every day and shiny garbage off Amazon every week.

This fits what we know about her mentality. It also fits the reality that she's not subsisting on $1000/month, nor is she making $70k+ a year. Either of those scenarios would be reflected in her spending habits/living conditions. She wouldn't want to stay in the luxury roach trap in the middle of nowhere if she could afford a more prestigious place, for starters, and she did express concern over affording rent in that laughable "luxury condo" in the first place.

I just hate these conversations about things we can't possibly know for sure, but which we can easily draw reasonable conclusions about, be it her weight or her finances or whatever.

From all the information I can gather at best she can deduct a maximum of 50% of all food used in an entertainment setting. Keep in mind she needs to repay the government GST here is Canada which is several hundred dollars quarterly . For that she needs every receipt for every food delivery she purchased and she pays a percentage back to the government in food tax ....I can t see her being disciplined enough to do that....Federal and Provincial taxes average between 22 and 27%. If/When you declare bankruptcy any money owed in taxes must be paid is not part of the bankruptcy

With how much she seems to idolize Trisha Paytas and the Influencer life, absolutely if Chantal was making $70,000, it would reflect in her spending habits. She tolerates the shit-hole because she's lazy and likely realizes it's about the nicest thing she can get with her income. But if she could afford to have someone come in and essentially box everything up and move her to a luxury house she then rented (like Trisha does), she absolutely would. Now, of course, Trisha is an extreme example and has been able to market herself beyond just YouTube, which helps her income significantly but just pointing out we know the type of person Chantal wants to be and it's not a 450 lbs landwhale who rolls around her small kitchen on a busted up computer chair in a $1,700 a month apartment.
