Interesting. Luna mentioned in her Membership stream yesterday that her break wasn't just because of her voice but also that she was feeling burnt out. Could just have been a bad translation for whatever Polka also seems to have.

I agree. Stream the same game everyday everytime just make the stream goes stale. The problem is they just play the game that very popular only in Japan and didn't want to take any risk or maybe the bullshit stream permission from Japan game dev. Marine play Rimworld is breath fresh of air, Botan play Ubisoft game and Prey or they play GTA V ( I actually want them to play GTA SA, it more fun and the story is masterpiece than V). I think Minecraft still fun because there's something suddenly happen like what happen yesterday.

For now I see some Hololive member play Paper,Please. Glory To Artztozka.

But I want them to play the other games too like Korone or Marine did rather play Minecraft or Apex again and again.

By that point i'm not just getting the impression Cover is somewhat fine with it but also that the talents are told so. I'd be very surprised if Keekihime posted those tweets hinting at Kiara as a total newbie (wasn't it like the day after debut?) without getting some sort of ok.

I wouldn't say they're told to do so, but the company does seem to allow it to be done to some extent since they also do it themselves - take Pekora's official age as an example. We have already complained about Cover not allowing the girls out of their character's kayfabe, which can be quite excessive, but they do acknowledge it sometimes and use it as a gimmick when it doesn't come to their real-life information (like appearance and age).

Oh, I get what you mean. Regarding character birthdays, some - if not most - of them are related to their lore, like how Gura's birthday is the same day as the release of the movie Jaws and Choco's is on Valentine's Day. You can find a list with these references on the Hololive Wiki.
Some others have not yet been explained, but I assume they're either random or just a simple wordplay, like Miko's 5/3 being み (MI, one of the kunyomi readings of the 三 character) + こ (KO, most likely a deliberate rendaku/harmonization of the onyomi reading of 五, the kanji for 5)​

About the real-life elements, i was wondering... What about the birthdays? It'd be weird if it was the actual birthday of the persons behind the avatars (and I definitively would've heard of it reading some debates over past identities), but it being just a random date doesn't feel right either.
 
They have to allow or deliberately turn blind eye on talents alluding to their other selves just so their previous audience would follow. We don't have a precedent of talents getting a back-hand for doing it.

And so far girls are pretty smart about it, probably thanks to management's help.

I can see Polka having a bit of burn out. She's always high energy for streams and alike. Luna is also understandable. Her character is a type that needs a lot of concentration and energy to do
By the way, anyone know when Pekora is coming back? Like, did she say how long will she take a break?

If you aren't following the audacity and wonder of Haachama's lewd lines stream, you should. This shit is hilarious; just a complete riff. Blows the lewds review out the water in my opinion. Plus she is showing a good amount of vocal changes, which is always kind of fun to see someone do.

I can at least confirm that Reine's birthday is different than her actual birthday, which is understandable since using the same date makes digger's job easier to find your real identity. I don't mind about it but some fans might hate that fact.

Her taste in games, as far as I can tell, does not go earlier than NES era. I'd say that puts her in my age bracket, give or take...3 years? 36 is certainly in that ballpark.

I'm checking out Coco's ASMR stream and it's... interesting. The dislikes on it might not actually be bugmen and be more due to her screaming bloody murder into the ASMR mic, beating it up and cursed singing. Whatever makes her happy though.

Edit: And she will kill anyone who quits her membership.

The girls always make 1 or 2 free chat rooms for their fans to chat in so they don't go sperg at other streams or throw Super Chats/Memberships at if the girls aren't streaming.

Matsuri had a free chat room since December of last year for Dec 2021 and last I checked, she wasn't dogged by the bugmen
