The thing is trading the old fashioned way was so restrictive and expensive. Minimum buys, commissions, fees. Absolutely pointless for sums under high triple digits. If the apps don't get locked down there are already offsites, wsb will def get glowies after this.

The real piss off with wall street is that it is exclusively for the rich. You need thousands and thousands of dollars to make money on tiny stock changes. The old system made it so you could not realize a profit on a few dollars. Literally it would all go to fees. Then, the rich always, ALWAYS trade with inside info and if you're not in the right clique and do it, you go to jail. Happened to Martha Stewart. She insider traded while not being rich enough.

I don’t think this is as incredible a win as a lot of you seem to. A lot of market maker HFTglowbots and less retarded funds/(((investors))) are making bigger bank than anyone from this. I honestly wouldn’t even doubt that they intentionally amplified the fervour over it, at least once they knew it was unavoidable, to both siphon money for themselves and to have an excuse for further regulation of pleb access to financial services.
Wall street is not suffering from this as much as they want you to think it is, it’s mostly one fund and their couple frens, and they’ll get bailed out by their even richer and even more semitic frens.
i just don’t see the results of this being as victorious as some of you.

If anyone was curious: DFV will likely pay the top capital gains tax when he cashes in his options. This will be a whopping 20 percent, which is lower than a majority of people on here pay. Sure is great how Wall Street gets to pay a sweetheart rate like that while us wage slaves get taxed at 30+ plus.
