That confirms some things that the farm community has been murmuring about for a while now. Maybe instead of throwing money at the stock market, throw a little money at food that keeps for a long time. It may be needed. (I recommend Augason Farms, Traverse Bay Fruit Company and Hoosier Hills.)

Also look into growing a little of your own food if you don't already. Study permaculture. Even if you don't NEED to do it in the future, it's a good thing to know about.
Weren’t the raging lefties and the people who voted for Biden the same ones who used to scream about how evil Monsanto was?

They already have a contingency for that in metro areas; a lot of have ordnances restricting backyard gardens, with many outright banning anything like chickens or goats. They let boomer Karens keep their heirloom tomatoes and hippies have their peppers, but don't let them spot you growing a couple rows of beans, squash, or corn.

Except hydroponics have become far more accessible & efficient for small indoor growers (thanks dope smokers!), and I highly recommend going that route; at the very least it'll help keep neighbors from poaching your crops.
Don't live where there's a HOA. Learn to plant food crops among ornamentals so it isn't obvious what you're up to. Get some big LED lights and put a few things in pots inside.

And don't get too worried about corn and soybeans. Most of that is grown for livestock feed, which if there's a shortage might run the price of meat up but the average American won't die over it. Learn to love legumes, they're a healthier protein source anyway.

The blatant fuckery of it all -

I love the GameStop thing, really.

I like how it’s bringing up questions about Biden’s Secretary of the Treasury, and political influence via speaking fees, etc.

I love how people in my life are now actually listening to me explain how Biden is in the process of gutting the American energy sector to benefit foreign influences, and how it’s all related to the way large institutions traffic power.

Weren’t the raging lefties and the people who voted for Biden the same ones who used to scream about how evil Monsanto was?
And now they're screaming how evil WSB/the "proletariat" are for gutting Wall Street, but now that Wall Street and Monsanto are backed by Blue they're good guys.
Only further proves all their slogans and chanting (and riots) were just the retarded parroting of pod people.

Update: I did some research and saw almost every airline company took heavy losses over the past month. Due to COVID, people weren't flying, so hedges shorted the shit out of the stocks. AAL, DAL, LUV, ALK.
Air travel is fucking dirt cheap right now. I priced a flight from Orlando to Austin with 3 days' notice a couple weeks ago and it came out to $189 round trip including a rental car. And that was Frontier Airlines and Alamo, not random fly-by-night companies. I ended up not traveling (the "oh-shit" I was asked to fix got fixed by the locals) but that price just floored me.

If you've been putting off visiting distant family or friends, now's the time to go.

Anyone who whines about Leftist hypocrisy has a sub-30 IQ.
Pointing out hypocrisy doesn't work on liberals because they don't have consciences. To them, the ends justify the means. Conservatives care about sticking to principles, liberals care about acquiring power for the sake of power.

You might as well stop being surprised at Lefty flip-flops. Their principles never survive an opportunity to gain power.
These are the same people who protested wall street at occupy. then as soon as the corporate rainbow logos appeared they forgot all about how wall street has been fucking us over and getting bailed out by the government. Now they love the big banks and corporations. Like this guy said earlier in the thread.
On the one hand, this whole ordeal warms my heart immensely, and I really do think it's bringing people together in a populist moment.

On the other hand, it's disheartening as fuck how many people are still so thoroughly programmed to the point where self-professed socialists and hard leftists are springing to the defense of fucking hedge fund managers because daddy media told them that /r/wallstreetbets posters are racists and mysoginists and white.
