The mods at WSB say they're deleting shill accounts constantly, so they're trying. We're in the right time period for people at large to be weary of sock accounts and concern trolling. In the long term I think it's the most reliable utcome of this though, any similar thing happening in the future will not be a coincidence and market manipulation will happen in the form of astroturfed "movements". They did that to the Occupy movement.
