Out of everyone and everything in Chantal's life, I think the only things I have positive feelings for are Sam and Casey/BBJ - particularly for BBJ given her age. Chantal saying that BBJ was sulking while she was away at the Uncle's house [not] caring for grams was horrible to hear. She wasn't sulking, she was stressed that her owner was suddenly not there for an extended period of time. Cats get very stressed by new situations and it is quite frankly shocking that BBJ has survived to her age given her owner. Even if Chantal's [insert essential organ here] failed tomorrow, BBJ is at such an age that re-homing would be an incredibly stressful situation for her twilight moments and I hate to think of that.

You can tell she hates her hair and feels less feminine because she put on a full face of makeup without bothering to change her clothes. I feel like most women who have had a bad haircut can relate to the makeup part, but they usually try WASHING and styling their hair, too.GoodLardLord Beetus.

It killed me when she kept saying in the livestream from her uncle's house, "It will look better when I style and 'volumize' it." I think she mentioned adding layers too.
Uh, you can't style or "volumize" what isn't there to begin with. And you can forget about adding layers to hair that thin that is also balding.
I'm no hairdresser like her sister (who knew?), but I think she would be better off at this point shaving it all off and investing in a really good wig.

All those livestreams and the tone-deaf interactions with her stressed mother, just make me dislike her even more as a person. Being so damn needy while not giving a rat's ass about how other people feel is frankly disgusting to me. I have no idea how anyone can live with her and never give in the urge to tell her to shut her mouth and have another doughnut. No wonder her family just kept giving her food and putting her in front of the TV so that they could get some peace from all the braying.

In two of her recent livestreams Clotso has smugly and mysteriously hinted at some "correspondence" that she's waiting for from Utube which, she says, will give her "more power to protect herself" in the future.????? Whilst it's probably utter nonsense, does anyone have any thoughts on this?

If quinoa is yucky, don't fucking eat it. There is a whole world of healthy, wonderful foods to choose from; find the ones you like and eat those. Quinoa is just one food; it's not some magic bullet that will make one thin and healthy.
That Chantal probably thought it was, and put herself through the frustration and dissatisfaction of forcing herself to eat it--only to see no results and end up back in the rage/binge part of her cycle, is not quinoa's fault. It's Chantal's fault, because Chantal is a willfully ignorant dumbfuck looking for the easiest way out of her obesity.

Seriously, her mom and uncle are the most likely heirs of Grandma's small estate (the apartment she's been living in doesn't hint at any substantial wealth; quite the opposite). If she leaves anything to her grandkids, there's Nat to consider, plus any kids her uncle may have, which means nobody's getting big slices of that small pie.
Usually grandkids inherit things like jewelry and sentimental keepsakes, and get first dibs on any furniture and tchotchkes their parents didn't want before the estate sale folks do their thing. That print of the opera house in Paris that Chantal has had leaning next to her stairs for several months now? That's more than likely the bulk of her inheritance.
The Grandma Gravy Train, to the extent it existed, has more than likely made its last stop at Chantal Station, but Chantal doesn't seem to have realized it. There is no "Moving to Toronto" money coming Chantal's way after Grandma's gone. Things should be really interesting once that fact sinks in.
If she was a clueless teenager, I'd cut her some slack, but she's a clueless teenager in a 36-year-old body, and should know better by now. When you're in that kind of situation with family, and not the primary caregiver, the default question to ask is, "What can I do to help?", and when the person you're asking tells you what they need, you provide it. You do not expect them to take care of you as well, or carry out their tasks while you just hang out, livestreaming your life on YouTube.
Chantal was up early; she could have had coffee made and breakfast underway by the time her mom came down the stairs. She could have put the groceries away, and let the dog out. But she's Chantal, so of course she didn't.
Her mom is facing the probable loss of her own mother--if not in the immediate future, then certainly within the next year or two. You only need to see the little snippets of her on Chantal's early-morning livestream to know she's an exhausted wreck right now. Anybody who has ever loved their mom and had to face her imminent death can tell you how fucking hard that is emotionally; anybody who has had to be a caregiver to an ailing relative can tell you how physically and mentally exhausting it is. Most functioning humans capable of empathy can imagine themselves in that position well enough to understand, and sympathize, and want to be of help--but not Chantal, because Chantal is not a functioning human.

So, people have been speculating that Chantal may have been in trouble with youtube. I just saw on a thread that she was in trouble with YT for smoking weed on cam. Apparently she said it in one of today's lives. I'm too lazy to go look for it though lol, sorry. It would explain the sanitized behaviour in her last few videos.

It seems to me that Chinny's Mom is providing Palliative/Hospice care for Gran Mere. If not this, then the family was told that Gma needed 24hour care at home, paid for or provided by family, or she needed to go to long term care facility. Clotso better prepare herself for the imminent inevitable.

What does Chantal expect if she moves to Toronto? Rent will be higher and she doesn't have friends there. She also doesn't have a useful degree, let alone a completed one. She would be better off if she moved back to Cornwall and continued Youtube there- at least she can put her supposed savings toward a home.
Toronto isn't going to be this magical place that changes anything for her. The people who succeed there were either born there and therefore have a safety net with family or they are hustlers who put the work in (and even then, many fail and retreat to other cities in the GTA or GHA). She can't even be bothered to finish her degree online during the pandemic.
