Watching Chantal interact with her mom was cringe. Her mom was obviously irritated at having to play caretaker while her adult daughter reverts to baby-mode begging to be coddled. Really feels like Chantal went to her uncle's house as a vacation from her vapid life. Certainly not to help at any meaningful capacity.

Chantel’s main concern was not her critically ill grandma, but breakfast. She asked for it twice in a minute and as you all saw, her only concern, (except about her mom farting) was to tell her how comfy the couch she didn’t sleep on was. She repeated everything until she was certain she was heard.

I didn't talk about that part of the live yesterday because I would have gone full MOTI, and tbh, I'm not exactly less mad this morning but oh well. We don't know what psychological problems Chantal has (but she does, and more than one imo) but at that moment she reminded me of a mix of an autistic person and a 6yo child. Just like an autistic person, she had no grasp on what was happening at that moment and didn't acknowledge the emotions her mother was going through, making Chantal unable to be even a little supportive. In Chantal's case I believe it's more that she simply doesn't care, but the end result is the same : mom's not feeling well? Chantal doesn't give a shit, it's breakfast time!

And just like a kid she also didn't care about privacy (perhaps her mother wanted to talk about her grandma's current health but refrained since she was live on Youtube), had no concept about how not everything turns around her, and to top it all, felt the need to validate her behavior with her viewers. She kept going back and forth between her mom and her viewers like it was a fucking show à la The Office to validate how cutesy or funny or whatever delusion she had about herself in her pea sized brain. She wanted needed attention because her mom wasn't providing enough.

What a fucking nutcase. And what a fucking uselesss piece of shit. I'll take your top hats.

She seems to be circling the wagons, and believes she is under siege. She really seems to think her channel is in jeopardy, and her income is at risk.

The funny thing is, as always, she did it all to herself.

She could have taken the Amberlynn route all along, and mostly ignore the reactions and ignore the comments, and laugh all the way to the bank.

However, her pathological need to control every aspect of her life means she can't help herself but go on the offense. She'll attack the reactors, she'll attack Jen, she'll threaten lawyers and reporting, and all manner of revenge. Aside from maybe reporting some channels, it is all hot air. Nothing big will happen, but her threats are simply mobilizing people who once kept their distance. Those people will see to it that she is never sponsored, and they will see to it that YouTube gets inundated with flags. At some point, they will win; they already have made inroads.

Insofar as YouTube might have said something to her (I have no idea if they did or didn't), it is only because she herself has made her channel an issue. If she keeps pushing as she has been, sooner or later, they really will just say fukkit, who needs the headaches?

I am waiting for the day when it happens because she will blame all of us for it, even though it does not need to happen were it not for her oversized chimpouts and narcissistic ego run amok.

Her biggest problem is she has no endgame for all this. What she imagines, which is a world in which she earns nothing but praise for her uploads, is never going to happen. So, she'll self-sabotage herself until action finally needs to be taken.

She has no backup plan for when the income gets yanked. If grandma kicks the bucket, where does Clotso go? She has no friends besides Peetz, and he is utterly useless to her. Mom's house is the place of final refuge, if they will have her. Imagine her mood if she has to resort to that.

2021 is marked by two things: her failing health and her unravelling life. Neither is primed for improvement, just more decline. All the past will feel like prelude if she loses her moolah. That's when the really interesting stuff starts.

Imagine her poor mom's life, having to care for both an ill/dying parent AND a train-wreck monster of an adult child with the emotional maturity of a middle-schooler.

I don't need to harp on Chantal's interaction with her mom, as it has been discussed numerous times already here, but it was a truly sobering moment to witness such a lack of humanity. The idea of treating your mother like that while she's dealing with grief and the stress of caregiving is super sad. And it's also really sad for Chantal, that she lacks the ability to connect with, relate to, or support another human in a moment of crisis.
