If you're looking for a good crazy-vegan-mocking time, I would highly recommend trawling through Tumblr's beekeeping tags. Beekeepers, especially the passionate hobbyist types, are serious about their stuff and do not put up with "OMG EXPLOITATION" bullshit.
The argument I see most in those situations is the "you're stealing the bees' food!" thing. IIRC, bees naturally produce as much honey as they can, which can lead to situations where they build up too much and end up with a complete mess of a hive, old honey with dead animals mummified in it, etc. Responsible backyard beekeepers leave more than enough for the bees to eat, but skim off the extra--and there's quite a fucking lot of extra, too. And the best part? We didn't make the bees do that; it's part of bee programming. We're providing the little dudes with safe homes and taking payment by removing stuff they can never use, and the crazies just can't get their heads around it.
