My 2000s-era feminism and political correctness must be out-of-date, because I thought we were supposed to stop calling women who act professionally "actresses". I'm also one of those boomers who think "police officer" and "firefighter" are appropriate terms for those respective professions.
This whole time, my gender inclusive politically correct language was only serving to erase our brave and vulnerable transwomen. And by "erase", I mean not give them the full spotlight.
Anyway, I didn't believe this when I first read it. And for a good ten minutes, I was assuming Olly must be trolling kiwifarms. I haven't seen much of his stuff, but one year ago today he uploaded
which was a pretty cool video, and he played the Scottish bouncer well. There's a transgirl in there, but I don't get anything from Olly other than wanting to be an ally.
Now he's playing a much more dangerous game. It was safer to be Contrapoints' faithful sidekick than her direct competitor. Hopefully, that bodes well for our entertainment.
