I don't think that quote is quite as damning as you're making it out to be. With mental health issues it's not unusual to not be able to reflect on or have a name for something that you haven't been properly diagnosed with. IIRC (and the timeline of his videos seem to confirm this) he didn't start seeing a psychiatrist regularly again until around or even after that stream was posted, where the question might have been raised. "Oh so that was my problem!" is a common experience, not just with transgendereds.

@Troonwhisperer I watched that video from Dr Layman you included and I can totally see what he meant with Oliver's male narcissism. Just look at the pictures from his stage actor account, it was Oliver being a pretty boy in every picture in order to appeal to agents and directors. Once the lockdown was in place, there was no one to appeal to professionally, so Oliver was resigned to being a pretty boy on Youtube - which Oliver always said was his secondary choice ("Youtube is just a job"), not his first. I am not surprised that a man who already had narcissistic tendencies - which were being validated IRL as opposed to online - eventually lost that IRL validation, and that was the moment he crossed the threshold from GAMP (ie, his attraction to F2Ms) to full-on AGP.

I am gonna do a timeline as well (for all the people who are new to this thread and didn't know about Nyk and Oliver having a semi-public affair in 2018-2019) but suffice to say, I am not buying Oliver's claim that he started HRT "a year ago". This would mean that Oliver started HRT in late January/early February 2020. I tend to disbelieve this because I had a look at his suicide attempt claims (back when he first came out with those claims), and that timeline didn't add up either. I would not be surprised if it turns out Oliver began HRT once the UK lockdown was already underway and Oliver realized this wasn't going to be a short-term week-long thing but was going to take months out of his life. I bet he only started HRT when he realized theaters in the UK were shutting down for the lockdown and were not going to reopen any time soon.

That's something that I've always thought was contradictory of the situation. Women who are overly vocal on deconstructing gender norms are also very supportive of the trans (and LGB) community. However, trans are validated by gendered pronouns.
